Alinedra Edens
Alinedra Edens is Sandstorm's caretaker. She grew up as the daughter of a caretaker on Arenaith Island. At 16 she was granted custody of an egg to take care of. Her parents were extremely proud, but Ali was frightened. When Sandstorm hatched however, all fear melted away, and the two bonded instantly.
Alinedra is now 18, and working as a supply transporter for a vendor between islands. She also wanders in her free time, taking trips to farther islands for peace and quiet.
She's about 5'7, with shoulder length brown hair and bangs. Hazel eyes, and an average build. Her skin is a nice sunned colour, and she tends to wear clothes that are comfy but well fitted. She goes nowhere without her daggers and goggles.

Sandstorm's egg was found by caretakers on a desert isle. The rest of the eggs had been covered by sand, but her's stood out and was found by adventurers randomely while they were visiting the isle. With no parents in sight, they took the egg back to the nursery on Arenaith Isle.
As a child, she became as her caretaker, adopting many of her mannerisms, including a large curiosity and big heart. During her Teens she met Matteu, and they grew to love each other as adults. When Matteu's caretaker was killed in a freak accident, Alinedra came to care for him, bringing Sandstorm and Matteu closer.
So far, they've not had any children, but perhaps one day they will. For now, they're content as one small family.

Matteu was born and cared for by one Damian Kelly. Damian came by him at an older age, close to 45 years old. He couldnt pass up the adorable kitten however, and took him in. Damian worked at the docks on Arenaith Island, building and repairing ships for a living. They lived happily together for many years until soon after Matteu was concidered an adult, Damian was killed in a freak accident at the docks. Soon after, Matteu went to live with Alinedra and his lifemate Sandstorm. He hasn't recovered from the death of his caretaker, but he's healing, with the help of his new family. He's quiet and thoughtful now, after the accident, and wounds easily. But that will more than likely change someday, given time.

"No way!" Sandstorm raged back to kyalondra. She couldn't imagine the absolute rudeness from the buttercat. Never had she been told what to do, and she wasn't about to start listening to a young upstart now. "You can go get your own food. You should know better than to bully. Didn't your caretaker teach you any manners?" Glaring at the younger cat, she puffed her tail a bit in aggitation.

Purring softly, Sandy curled up next to Matteu and signed deeply. It had been a long day, and she was glad to be home finally. Rolling to her back she nudged him a little with her paw. "So what did you do today? Have fun on that trip with Ali?" she asked, looking at him enquiringly.

Matteu gazed down at Sandstorm and poked her back with his paw. "You know how those trips are. Though it was nice to get some fresh air. The city gets so old after a while." Suddenly, a thought occured to him and he got a wild grin on his face. Without pausing, he pounced on Sandy, wrestling her off the bed they had been laying on. He was in the process of tugging on her ear with his teeth when Ali walked into the room. Stopping and staring, Ali did nothing but laugh and walk right back out of the room. A little embarassed, he licked Sandstorm on the nose and got off of her, purring deeply. He hopped back up on the bed, followed closely by his lifemate, who plopped down on a pillow and basked in the warm sun that was coming through the window.

Alinedra leaned far over the rail of her small sailing ship and basked in the warm sun that beamed down on her face. Far below her she watched a flock of birds fly in formation parallel to her vessel. Turning back to her ship, she saw a loose rope that needed tending. Ali sighed and went back to work. She was one of the many people that piloted her ship with no help, which always meant working. Sometimes she wished she worked in a larger group so she could sit back and take in the view, but she liked her space. She always feared that too many people would upset her. She was picky about the way she did things.
Matteu and Sandstorm were fluttering near by, fluttering in the wind on their majestic butterfly wings. She smiled. The love that they had made her a little jealous sometimes, but she was very happy for them. Matteu had been through enough in his life, he deserved this happiness. Ali's thoughts swam with the thought of kittens in the future. They all hoped it would be soon, but there was no way of knowing. Tying the rope back tighter, her daydream continued as the boat got closer to the dock it was meant for.
