Avoir Le Retour... This is a little about myself: I'm American, Democrat, and Atheist. I am not coming here to flame or criticize you, because I don't care what you believe, and I believe all humans should be treated with equal respect. I am merely posting this to ask this question: Contrary to most Christians, what do you Muslims think of Atheists? And, if you have any questions about Atheism, please ask, and I will gladly answer. We have a few members in here who aren't Muslim and that's fine. Atheists are just like everyone else except they have different beliefs and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I have friends from different religions or they have different morals and I don't have a problem with that at all.

Avoir Le Retour... Well, I'm not a member of this guild, which you may have thought, but I am a member of Gaian Atheists United. I came here to do a bit of a survey of Muslims who were against Atheism, and Muslims who were not. Several people have gone to many Christian guilds to do the same kind of survey, and I thought it would be appropriate to do it here as well. ...Les Adieux

I came here to do a bit of a survey of Muslims who were against Atheism, and Muslims who were not. Several people have gone to many Christian guilds to do the same kind of survey, and I thought it would be appropriate to do it here as well. ...Les Adieux Well in that case, I have no problems with Atheists or anyone else who has different beliefs than me. I wouldn't like it if people shoved their religion (or lack of) in my face saying that they're right and I'm wrong. I have never done that to anyone so people shouldn't be doing it to me. What I don't like is when people say that Atheists (or it can be with anyone if they both disagree on something) don't have morals because they don't believe in god. I guess what people don't understand is that morality is subjective and that just because they don't follow your faith, that doesn't mean they have no morals. Everyone has morals, they're just different from yours.

I actually have SEVERAL atheist friends...at time I DO find myself wondering why they've lost all faith in a higher being when there's such a awesome religion like Islam that answers most of their questions and issues.
From what I've seen, most atheists were born into christian or buddhist families, and when all the facts were laid out to them, they just didn't agree with them and found SO MANY wholes in the religion. That makes complete sense to me because Buddhism just doesn't offer a God in the first place and Christianity is extremely corrupt and altered from the original version. And believe it or not, I've gotten about 3 of my atheist friends to look into Islam and they surprisingly are into it.

to actually get to the point-
I do not have anything against Atheists, agnostics, or any other form of belief or disbelief. You can not judge a person from their religion, like CAPTAIN Plixy[Stix] said, everyone has morals. Just because you're atheist, it doesn't deny you of all sanity. xD One of my atheist friends, she's a complete tree hugger, volunteer's nonstop, and is just so caring. There isn't a single bad bone in her body, but she just doesn't believe in a higher being.
However, I'm not going to deny it, in Islam is DOES state that all non believers will go to hell, but that doesn't mean that we don't like you guys as people.
You can't label all Muslims as atheist haters, because we're all different and see things differently. Some Muslims probably do hate Atheists, but that's beyond me.
Some people are against, some people are okay with it.

Yeah, basically what everyone said. We are taught to respect eachothers' beliefs, by both the Quran and the Prophet's (pbuh) example.
But at the same time, by religion, I would say that some of us Muslims feel bad for Atheists. Because we believe that people who firmly deny that there is a God will be punished for their disbelief..
Yeh that's all I wanted to add.
