Jessie continue wading about in the water, he moved rather slowly though, swimming with trousers on was a pain, if only he had a bathing custom with him or something. He tugged as his belt…no, he couldn’t strip down to his boxers in front of Hailey. At least not yet.
It was good to see her so happy today, Jessie laughed and smiled back at her. Seeing her in a good mood put Jessie in a better one as well.
“Yeah wa-“ he jumped and shielded himself, his tentacles also mimicking his arms. “I’m already wet Hailey!” He splashed her back, it didn’t really matter Hailey has already soaked herself, it was all in the name of fun.

Another laugh escaped Hailey after Jessie splashed her. She tried to block the on coming water but it failed, nevertheless it was fun all the same. Though it would've been better if she wasn't her pants or shirt. The clothed items really slowled her down a bit but, she couldn't undress infront of Jessie...even though she made it clear they were friends...just friends.
"You wet? I couldn't tell." She joked, sending one last splash in his direction.

Jessie submerged himself to avoid getting splash, in retrospect it really didn’t make sense, he was already drenched, but he’d dodged her. That was the point wasn’t it? He surface back up again next to Hailey, he stayed kneel down so the water was up to his neck.
“Why you swimming with your shirt on Hailey?” he didn’t mean anything sinister by the question. He was just curious, he was rather annoyed by swimming with his trousers, so why was she doing fully clothed?

A small pout came across her face, replacing her smile. Where did Jessie go? She looked around, he couldn't have gone far....unless. 'Did he....' She tilted her head down to see if the boy did dive down into the water. Apparently he did as he resurfaced. But...did he have to crouch or kneel? He could stand up because the position he was in...was a bit akward on Hailey's part.
Followed by another awkward moment. 'I am not taking off my shirt..exucse...find an excuse!' She thought, biting down on her lower lip for a moment.
"Because it helps me stay wet when I'm not in the water? Keeps my scales moist for a while. Though it is a bit uncomfortable but it's worth it." She explained, trying to convince both Jessie and herself. 'Lord if he buys that then I should've gone into acting.'

Hailey’s expression before she answered made it seem like she felt uncomfortable answering his question. Okay, stop asking her questions Jessie, it just makes her nervous. She’s happy and having fun with you right now, don’t screw it up.
“Oh okay” he went along with her for the shake of the moment “I don’t wear my shirt much anymore though, it’s too warm to wear it.” He stood back up to notice his tentacles where reaching for Hailey’s legs and where already wrapping themselves around them. “S-sorry” He immediately stammered as they pulled him closer to her, so he was practically hugging her.

Hailey gave a mental sigh of relief, he actually believed her lie. 'I hope he doesn't ask me anything like that again....' She thought to herself, feeling a bit more relaxed as Jessie stood up. Her period of 'relaxation' came to a ahult when she felt something grabbing her leg. Her tail floped a little in the water in reaction to being grabbed by something other than a hand.
"I-Its okay.." Hailey replied, trying to keep herself calm as Jessie was close enough to hug her. 'Its only a hug...its only a hug...he knows we're only friends....friends....' That thought kept going over and over in her mind as the gap between them was slowly closing.

“I’m really really sorry Hailey” he said quickly in an increasingly panicky voice as he tugged at the front to tentacles, forcing them to release their grip round Hailey’s thighs. Though it was to no avail, his and Hailey’s stomach where practically touching now. His other two back tentacles where now close enough to reach and also grab Hailey.
“Hailey, I d-don’t think I can get them to let go.” He blushed stupidly and he forced a smile to cover at least some of his embarrassment.

Hailey was trying her best not to freak out. She tried pulling back but it didn't work...Jessie was practically stuck to her. The woman sent up a silent plea for someone up there to help her out but in the mean time was greatful she didn't off her clothes...that would've added to the awkwardness.
'Okay...what can I do....either flirt till he faints fromhappiness....and risk Wesley coming by or be stuck...untill Wesley comes by..great, just fricking great!' She thought, again trying to remain calm.
"Jessie, isn't there anything you can do to make them let go? Or at least, not hold so tightly?" Hailey asked, going over in her mind what might work to get Jessie unstuck to her. "Um, try relaxing? Maybe that'll work?" She suggested, laughing a bit nervously at the end.

Hailey was hating this, anyone would hate being latched onto by tentacles. Jessie mentally cursed his extra limbs. They just had to screw up everything, and this whole chance encounter was going so well too.
“Erm, I d-don’t know” he stuttered, as he continued tugging on his tentacles, and avoiding looking directly Hailey’s face. “How can I relax like this!?” He half moaned half yelled. “Sorry” He instantly apologised “I’ll try that”
He tried thinking about something else, he though about swimming as it was the first thing that came to mind. The tentacles seemed to like that as they let go and made stroking motioned about him, encouraging him to dive underwater again. He gave Hailey another weak smile and he took the need steps to get out of her personal space.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips, the tentacles were letting go. She let Jessie's outburst go, it was only antural to panic at a time like that. Okay, not panic but freak out a little. Hailey matched Jessie's weak smile with one of her own.
"Thanks...sorry. I do like hugs but I got the feeling those extra limbs would squeeze the life outta me...okay maybe that's the fish half speaking...and I'm babbling." She flashed another smile before stepping back a little.

Hailey appeared to be flustered, he could take a hint now, he should leave or something, or at least give her some space.
“I’m going to go sort out my stuff okay? It was fun seeing you again thought” he said, and he hurriedly waded back out of the water, back towards the base and where he’d left his things.

"Okay, it was fun seeing you again." Hailey replied, watching Jessie's form retreat back to his 'camp'. So much for trying ot bring him back to the base...but if he was happy here then Hailey could do nothing about it.
After waiting a few moments, she got out of the water and headed back to the base camp.
