(this is spolier-free. :B There's a little speculation but nothing remotely concrete)

According to Wikipedia, Gareth Roberts, Stephen Greenhorn, Tom MacRae, James Moran and Keith Temple will each write one episode, Helen Raynor and Steven Moffat will each write two episodes, and RTD will write four.

Also, the episode Temple is writing will supposedly be called Planet of the Ood. The Ood being those ugly bitches from Impossible Planet/Satan pit.

WHY THE ******** ARE THEY BRINGING HELEN RAYNOR BACK?! The two Dalek episodes were AWFUL! DDD:
They were possibly the worst episodes Doctor Who has ever seen, and that's saying quite a bit. I think I'd even place them as being worse than Revenge of the Cybermen. >.>;; And I haven't met a single person who liked them!

Roberts I'm cool with, Moffat I'm cool with, Greenhorn I'm NOT cool with since Lazarus experiment SUCKED. D: It had more plot holes than any other episode that series. MacRae I'm okay with, and James Moran is apprently the only new blood this season.

Apparently there's also talk of Ben Kingsley as having been cast as Davros for the next season, but I'm iffy. Has he ever even done television work before? And he's a pretty high-profile actor. Seems suspicious.

That's all! :B

I am glad Steven Moffat is back. His episodes will be good.

Steven Moffat!! I love that guy. He writes the best episodes ever. They scare me a lot more than the other episodes do.
I'm glad he is writing for Series 4. Seriously, I love him. Best writer ever, IMO.

I'm not too sure about Helen Raynor though, the episodes she wrote in the last Series were pretty bad.... but maybe she will be better next Series.

I'm really glad Moffat will be returning to write 2 more episodes, i find that the ones he writes turn out to be my favourites. I think he is a really successful writer, and brings a lot of life to Doctor Who! and it makes sense! (or as much DW can make sense)

I'm a little disappointed in Raynor's return to write. But at least we can see how she writes another episode. You never know, it might be really good next series.

Overall, I'm okay with the writers, the good ones level out with the not-so-good (in my opinion). Now I'm looking forward to the Episode names...

Well, I believe that Helen Raynor is the story editor, so I doubt she could be all bad. Otherwise she'd have nixed anything good getting into the series. I think maybe she (and Greenhorn too) got saddled with writing some episodes that they didn't know how to handle properly, or that got messed up somewhere outside of the script. Or possibly a combination of not great writing getting mangled even worse by the director. I forget who directed those episodes, though, so I don't know who to blame for the mistakes.

That's always possible. I'd just assumed that the writers chose for themselves what they wrote about and only got a few guidelines pertaining to the overall storyline or something, but in retrospect that seems a little silly. I'm not holding out much hope whatever episodes she's writing for the next series, but it is too early to judge for sure. (:

"Planet of the Ood" sounds like a crappy Disney Channel show (sorry, I hate Disney Channel, so it was a good thing to compare it too). Cheesy time! And what else has Keith Temple written anyway?
Helen Raynor... *grabs gun*. Not really, but OMG she sucks!
RTD should write less. Honestly, he's not that great of a writer.
Bring Paul Cornell back!
At least Moffat gets 2 episodes! He deserves them, and more.
Lazarus Experiment guy is okay. I liked the episode. If only he could work a little more on plot development. The end was great, but getting there was a bit shaky.
At least Chris Chibnall isn't writing- he has NO originality. Complete "Impossible Planet" ripoff!
MacRae is okay. Not great, but okay.
And if Davros comes back... Enough with the classic villains already! And I've even hear rumors of the Rani coming back! If they do that, they'll ruin the season 3 finale. So they better not.
Done ranting now.
