The goal of this month's contest is to create an image that represents the "Area: Forest" battle ground. It will be displayed on the page with the description and the winner will recieve a monthly collectable letter for this month (August).

Guidelines

1. Description: Read the description and try to stay true to it. 100% accuracy is not necessary, be creative. Don't go crazy though. There are no unicorns or leprichauns or dancing nymphs in the description so we'd rather there aren't any in the picture. You can draw it any way you want, just be sensible. Here is the description for your perusal. You can also view the thread in the "Training Grounds", or by following this link. http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=9257737
Quote:
The trees tower over the tiny clearing like giants. Their leaves merge together in a heavy canopy that only allows the smallest speckles of sunshine to come through and they flicker across the thorny ground cover. A stream carves its way through the forest. Over the years, the stream has worn away the soil and mud until its bed is lined with sharp, jagged slate. Few flowers grow so deep in the woods, but moss covers many of the rocks and trees, the pale green lightening the dark and dreary surroundings. A few crooked and wrinkled mushrooms peep their heads out from between the centuries of dead leaves that cover the ground. An dank odor of decay and wetness hovers in the air and as the breeze winds its way through the trees, it brings a spicy smell that is difficult to place.

2. Method: You may use any method of image creation you desire. This includes photography, it it must be your work. You must be the one who took the picture if you decide to take one, and you must be the one who drew the forest. It can be color or black and white, solid tones or sketch. Whatever you want to do is okay with us.

3. Size: Any size, providing it doesn't grossly stretch the page. If it does, I'll be forced to re-size it and some of the detail may be lost in the shrinking.
