I am so excited.my friends and I are going out to one of deserts near my house to go see the shower. it is going to be so cool. Since it is a new moon it should be really clear and nice.

yeah i'm going out tonight too! i would have gone out last night around 2 but i was the only one up and it seemed kind of lonely. but i'm excited. every other year i've gotten up to watch, it's been cloudy or we forget to get up or something. but i'm definitely watching it tonight!

yeah we saw some pretty good ones. i think we would have seen a few more but i didn't realize how bright our street light is xp and none of us felt like driving

It was lots of fun. We went out to the desert, the sky was so clear, you could see the milky way in the sky. Yeah we even saw a green meteor it was really neat.on the horizon you could see all the light pollution from the cities, it was kind of sad if you think about it.

Wow. You can see the Milky Way from Earth? I never knew that. xd we had the most beautiful view of the night sky in my mountain house. the milky way is so pretty! that's one of the things i miss the most about living up there.

i saw one a few nights ago. i just step right outside in my front lawn. but it was hard to see some parts of the sky because of the haze from the zaca fire
