I was wondering if anybody had thought of adding blue tattoos to the blue daisies, now that we have the option.

Would it help open up discussion on the idea of bodily integrity, or is it too expensive to be worth it?

I believe that Blue Daisies are enough.
We only need one symbol of our pride. Anything more, and we might as well make the a complete blue uniform.

Also.
The reference from tattoos/peircings to bodily integrity is decent, but we're not here fighting for the choice to peirce or tattoo ourselves, we're fighting for the choice to abort.

That may not make sense, but I guess think of it this way...

Here's the idea you've tossed into the hat:
"The tattoos represent bodily integrity? So then. Somebody gets a tattoo only because they're fighting for bodily integrity. That's not bad and it shows some dedication."

It's no big deal right? It's a noble thought. Nobody, or very little peope, think(s) of tattoos as anything so serious that it should be illegal. Nobody thinks of it as murder, or harmful to a life. It's okay.

But we're fighting for the right to abort, so...
Here's what some people would probably think:
"This person isn't fighting for the right to tattoos? ...They're fighting for the right to abort?... So then. Somebody gets an abortion only because they're fighting for bodily integrity. That's a disgusting reason to abort."

In this--> They'll probably link the Blue Daisy symbol to actual abortion proceadures, instead of pride.

In this--> People on the fence of the abortion debate might be further swaded to Pro-Life.
Why?
Here's what I think some of said people would answer:
"What's worse than a woman using an abortion as a method of contraception? The PCG women using abortion as a method to fight for bodily integrity!"

We're using bodily integrity to fight for our right to abortion-- Not the other way around.

I would say it's a better idea to keep it simple with the blue daisies, but if someone feels like they want to add a blue tattoo then they should.

The only requirement is that you have the blue Daisies as part of your avatar. Any further uniform that you impose on yourself is up to you.

I'm partial to suggesting some Sarah Palin cosplays myself. wink

For the record, I've got a Blue Rose Tattoo on my arm, which looks nice and subtle enough I'd say. Not as good as holding up flowers though.
