I'm doing it backwards this time. Watched the movie the other day and now I'm reading the book. It's really good so far.

If you haven't read the book, you're in for a treat. Stardust is one of his best novels, although I'm also partial to Neverwhere.

I loved the book. I'll see about picking up Neverwhere as well. (Hopefully it won't have sex in it... sweatdrop ... not really my thing to read.)

If you don't like explicit sex in your fantasy novels, stay away from anything by Laurell K. Hamilton. burning_eyes

I'll keep that in mind. rofl (I remember once in english class we all had to read a book I seem to have forgotten the name of and it had explicit sexuality in it EVERY where. xp I don't know why I am still talking about sexuality in books.... BACK ON TOPIC! xd )

Souls in the winds must learn how to bend

I liked the book in general....but the main character really annoyed me....like he REALLY got on my nerves for some reason. confused

Stardust is a fantastic novel. I have a signed copy I got last year, and thoroughly enjoyed. Neverwhere's also a good one, and American Gods as well though it's a weird one...

I think that the book was written to be a movie. He could have done so much more with it like when he wrote that they had many adventures in other villages i wish he would have written them instead of breifly mentioning them would have made the book that much better.

I've seen the movie. I keep wanting to buy the book from the comic book store, but it is like $35 dollars. I'm broke and have a baby. I'll have to wait till I can find it for cheaper.

I wanted to read the book first, but I had no time for it... then the film appeared, so I went to watch it and it was GREAT. One of the best fantasy stories I have ever seen. Really. I recommend to see it.

I didn't see the movie, mostly because of the book. I did not enjoy it, mainly because I found it vague and uninteresting. The entire story was very basic to me, and a little too simple of a read. The general plotline could have been a very good one, but it fell far short im my opinion.
