Pitty: do you get it, how do you handle it, love it or hate it.

I dispise pitty, and get it all the time. I show llamas and in one show I recieved 2nd place even though I missed a lot of things while the judge was watching and shouldn't have placed. And then yesterday I got a card in the mail from the superintendent of the show thanking me for being there and competing "despite your physical limitations". Peole are dumb.

Just smile and nod. I get pity too and I'm not really a fan, fan and usually I just look at the person with a very confused look and sometimes ask "Why?" if they comment on being impressed I can do something. It usually makes them pretty uncomfortable, but it just reminds them hat I'm a person like everybody else.

I find pity to be insulting, I like the small amount of independence I have and I don't appreciate other people taking it away x.xThere's a difference between politeness, for example holding a door open and pity, rushing ahead to open a door neutral

It annoys me so much when they act like your some hero for everyday stuff.
Like a teacher caught me and a friend in the hall a few weeks ago and was like "Oh look at you.
I remember when you first start school with that oxygen tank, and now look: nothing.
That must be great. You are so strong. Yadda Yadda Yadda...."
I'm just standing there smiling like "Uh huh, yea..." thinking 'Kesmann...get me out of here'

Thankfully she read my mind, put her arm around my neck, was like "Yea, we love her" and dragged me away.
I was praising her and we got a good laugh out of it the rest of the way down the hall.

Its like, I'm not super girl or something.
I had a sugery and now I don't need my tank anymore.

Though I do like the fact I get to use the elevator ^_^

Lifts are good ^^ Especially when people are pushing on the stairs x.x Does anyone else get really annoyed when you see people who are perfectly fine using the lifts?

I don't, usually. Most times, they're meant for public use; I've only ever seen two elevators that were specifically reserved for those with physical handicaps.

People can be lazy if they want to. And some of the people who take the elevator might actually have health reasons for doing so. Many disabilities and illnesses aren't all that obvious when you first look at someone.

My school's elevator requires a key so people can't get on it.
But you can still hop on when the doors are open, I've seen kids do it all the time.
It just makes me laugh because I know I would if I didn't have a key >_<
One time I was on and these two boys flew in before the door closed not expecting anyone to be on.
Then they saw me and were like "Uhh .. hi"
It was funny ^_^

I usually try not to care....yeah..ppl rushing for the door thing? happened to me a lot. I try to think of them as kindness aand if that don't work, just imagine ppl are doing that because you are super star diva! XD

and for ppl who says...wow you're strong and stuff...

I just nod and smile and inside my head I imagine
'man, what time it is? I'm hungry, I wonder what's for lunch' that kind of crap

aand for ppl who says 'I feel sorry for you'
now THAT tips me a little over
