I think they do have them. I think they haven't launched them yet because they're planning on getting stronger and stronger until they're strong enough to defeat South Korea and its allies. Well, that's just what I think.

The threat is very true, at least with the military it is. Every couple of months, I have to do this NEO thing where we get reminded on what to do if North Korea attacks South Korea or a US base in S Korea. We get gas masks (though my family never seemed to have got one), so the threat is a pretty big deal here. Though that's old news and my dad says I'm safer here in South Korea with the threat of nuclear weapons rather than being in America where there are teens with guns and a lot of crime.

I don't believe that ANY nation would launch a nuclear missile without contemplating it thouroughly over. The outcome of such a war is widely known and whoever presses that button would be doing so, knowing it will bring about the end of the world.

The death toll would be crazy if North Korea started Nuclear War. gonk It would start as a spiff between North and South Korea then the US would be pulled in, and China would join North Korea, then all of the US' allies would have to join and soon the whole world is in less than a week drawn into this intense, probably world ending battle. cry Bad thought...the DMZ is such a sensitive area.

When one nation lauches and detonates a nuclear device they are in turn provoking many other in doing so too. The other countries think "Wow, they were crazy enough to actually do it! Well, theres no stopping them from attacking us!" In addition, the US has the NORAD system in place so if they launch their devices against us, the US will automatically retaliate with our own nuclear devices/ICBM''s essentially wiping that country off the map. This does not consider the enviromental effects we would suffer. The nuclear winds would effectively irridate and with time kill anyone near and within atmo range. This includes Japan and most likely China. Without those two countries, our economy would fail within weeks. It would be a new Great Depression. Now this in turn would cause chaos and fear. Imagine mass riots in the streets. And don''t think this won''t affect you wherever you are. ALL of the planet will be virtually lifeless in due time due to the nuclear explosions that would ensue from the first launch. It would be a miracle/act of god if this did not happen. See? One goes boom, we all dead.

For one thing, Kim Jong Il, despite how he looks, is not stupid. He knows that if he dropped a nuclear bomb, there will be numerous problems and if he set it in someplace like Japan, China, or South Korea, it'll blow him and North Korea up also. And, he uses the nuclear weapons as a threat. With those weapons in his control, other contries listen to him and tend to do what he wants. Without them, the probably would do the opposite.

He is not some crazy loon. You don't get to be a leader of a country on your looks. In addition, I do not think that we have built "country-busters" nuclear weapons yet. Most likely is that one bomb will take out a city or two of initial blast damage.

ive got info bout the nukes in north korea. as far as i know, they hve no more than juss a couple, ranging from 5-10. i could be mistaken. but the bigger ones they made failed n did a catastrophic damage on the nuke silo n the surrounding area xp they got nuke techs from soviet russia during their stay there. south korea used to hve a nuke tech too, but he neva got around making one cause of the peace treaty n all.
