Do you know where I could buy a quill
question Check local art supply stores, as well as craft stores. Some office supply stores even have them.
You can buy a nice wooden-handled quill with 5 or so replaceable tips for about $7, and if you do, you'll also want to buy a bottle of India Ink, which will run you about $3.
The great thing about quills is that you have immediate and complete control over line width. Just lightly pulling the quill across the paper (without pressing down) will leave a line thinner than any pen you can buy, while pushing down hard will leave a thick, extra-wide-tip-sharpie style line. With alternating pressure, you can make lines of alternating widths in a single stroke.
