The night breeze brought a cold chill to Chiiko's face. The girl hated her name as she thought about it on this misty night: the Blood Child. She had been named after a famous, beautiful Japanese vampire, and wished she could've had a normal American name like Diane or Katherine. But it didn't matter what she wanted; her honor would be stripped of her if she were to change it. Her parents would disown her, and she'd be all alone.
She sighed heavily as she walked down the street. There weren't any lights on this path, making the stars her only guide. She was headed to the Psychic Eye, a local New Age store filled with incense and hippies. Chiiko's mother had asked her to bring back some angel cards (a form of tarot) and charm bracelets for a party she would hold the following night. The only reason Chiiko agreed to go to the store was for him... The Vampire, Sean...

You can continue as Chiiko, as yourself, or as the Vampire Sean. Go ahead, try it! Here, I'll continue the story a little to give you more incentive...

The door gave its daunting "ding-a-ling, ding-a-ling" as Chiiko entered the store. Sean wasn't anywhere in sight, but the Blood Child knew he was most likely giving a tarot reading in the back room. Behind the counter was Sean's assistant, Spooky Dan. He had long black hair and wore all black clothes with black eyeliner. Half of Chiiko's friends thought he was cute, the other half avoided him like the plague.
"Hey, Chiiko," Spooky Dan welcomed the girl as she entered the store. "Your mom sent you back for more incense, I take it?"
"A little bit of Tiger's Blood and a few sticks of China Rain, please," Chiiko replied.
"China Rain? I thought your mom doesn't like that scent... having a fight with her again?"
Just then Sean entered the room, his lips rouged and curled in a smile. Spooky Dan couldn't help but smile at Chiiko when he saw her trying to hide her rosy red cheeks.

Sean walked out and was followed by a man. The man walked out of the store with a grisly look on his face. Sean ignored him and then asked. " What can i help you with? or is Dan helping you already?" Sean walked next to Dan and watched Chiiko's response still with a smile on his lips. Chiiko Got closer to the counter and then said. " Nope Dan is already getting it. What was going on with that man?" Sean responded. "His reading didn't turn out very well"

"Oh, by the way," Spooky Dan addressed the girl, "Sean and I are having a Halloween party, and we were wondering if you'd like to come."
Chiiko gave a puzzling look. "In the middle of July?" She looked at Spooky Dan, then at Sean, all the while thinking to herself that any opportunity to see her crush was a good idea.
"Sure," Sean spoke up. "What better time to have a Halloween party and dress up like freaks than when nobody else is? We can scare the pants out of people and be our true selves." Sean took a step closer and whispered in her ear, "And maybe... we could show you a world that you've never even dreamed of... a world filled with blood and roses..."
Chiiko stepped back, a little nervous at Sean's last words. "What do you mean?"
"You'll see," Sean giggled, "if you come."

That night the Blood Child dolled herself up in her little "Gothic Bo-Peep" outfit: a crimson and black lolita dress with a crimson bonnet and black garters, black stockings and black pennyloafers. Her eyeliner was thick around the edges of her eyes, and her upper lip was black from eyeliner. Chiiko never liked using black lipstick because it smeared everywhere.
"Welcome," Spooky Dan said as he opened the door. "Everyone's waiting for you."

Chiiko stepped cautiously in through the door. To tell the truth, she was a little scared.
No, scared wasn't the right word. She was... she was... wanting. Wanting Sean, to be specific.
The whole house was pitch black except for the party light flashing through everything. There was even a disco ball!
"Come on, Dan- a disco ball?" she giggled nervously, never taking her eyes off the entrance to kitchen.

Sean grimaced at her, "It was Dan's idea" he explained. Chiiko shifted uneasily as Sean drew closer to her, he leaned toward her until his mouth was right beside her ear, his breath was cold and her skin crawled as he whispered "Would you like to know what I meant by blood and roses?" Chiiko nodded dumbly unable to utter a sound, His words hypnotized her and she could barely pull away. He drew back painfully slowly and it made Chiiko ache to shove him. his breath had slid along her until her whole body was in spasms of pain. Suddenly she saw blood drip from her neck and she looked around in confusion, her world had grown fuzzy and then she fell into blackness. The blackness was like a raven come to take her away from her pain.
