i' noticed something a couple minutes ago. ok here's 2 new stealth games comming out: Assasins Creed, and Splinter Cell V: Conviction...notice the similatity???
the both are "social stealth" games where you have to blend in with the crowd, unlike the cliche where you hid in shadows or closet.
has anybody else noticed this? is it going to replace the cliche genre? and will it be just as fun?

Sorry about the long time about the reply. Social stealth has been around awhile, even before Splinter Cell. This is nothing new. Look at Hitman: Released November 23, 2000 While Splinter Cell was released on November 18, 2002 I don't think anything is changing, it's just two games are being released with similar stealth aspects. I think that beyond that the two games are very different and wont affect the "stealth genre." I will however say that both will be awesome games.

im not sure i'll like ConVition. i think splinter cell is about shadow stelth. not scocial. i hope it goes back to it's roots. CT was by FAR the best.
