The last time they changed the site, it screwed up my computer.( they still deny) I like this one, the shade of purple is nice, and there aren't as many problems with it as I had last time.

The layout with those atrociously un-Gaian cereal box kids--the first inhabitants of the header circle before the deafening howl against them finally got them changed to far better artwork--was probably the top worst they've yet done. The complaints this go round have been very light compared to the screaming din that one caused.

Everything's moving slow as frozen mud for me today, on & off Gaia. I was going to post a few specific year links but couldn't get them to load right at all. Did you try one from last summer, for the stupid, stupid cereal box kids?

lol Your link took me to a non-existent file.
Mine are for a site that has archives of old web pages. The two links I have above are for two different searches. The first has archived home pages of Gaia from the very beginning to 2005. The second has archives from 2004 to 2007. Just click a link on those pages to see the old Gaia home page as it was back then. And the 2003 version is how a lot of oldbies have been wanting the site to return to--but I think this new look is satisfying the desire to have a world feeling again for many of them. (Remember, Gaia was pretty much being run out of a garage back in 2003, if you dislike what you see.)
**I'm having no luck loading a bunch of the pages now for some reason. They must have messed up saving them. Either they come out just text or don't load at all. Anybody else see a proper page on these? It's too bad if not, because it's about one year ago that the really awful layout with the cereal box kids was introduced.
The verrrry first page in 2003 is loading (mostly). Notice Rock Puppy was here from the very start. And a hamster?
I don't know what's wrong with all these "Path Index Errors" I'm getting--didn't used to be like that. You could see any of these pages you wanted. :X
I wonder if Gaia's thrown out a bunch of the old graphics so people won't be able to look back and remember and complain so much? But I miss being able to look back and see how the site looked back in May of '06 when I joined. It really did have a cool header back then, too. The Jigsaw puzzle of the red-haired boy & the cat-girl is part of the image that made up that header, & it had a lot of the crazy Gaia spirit in it. smile
Oh, lookie at THIS! You can see a bunch of the old Headers from way back. You can really see from these how the current look is a much more sophisticated version of the old headers.

I fixed my link... I decided to be unlazy and sort my Photobucket pictures..which means I gotta redo my entire profile because of all the now-gone avatars. -_-;;;

That's strange--why does the version you have look so rough and unfinished? The actual header isn't all sketchy-looking like that.
