When we first got our district music every song I tried to think of would somehow melt and morph into the district music unintentionally :[

and you know you've been on the drumline too long when....

-Drumline becomes your most hated movie ever... (guilty)
-you have withdrawals if you dont play for more than a couple days...
-the rest of the line become the only people you hang out with....

and a story...

my history teacher randomly heard someone drumming on their desk, and immediately looked at me cuz im always doing it, but for once it wasnt me. when he realized that, he thought about it for a minute and said something along the lines of, "i should of known it wasn't Robert cause real drummers actually have rhythm."

ya....it was funnier when it actually happened....

-when you've got a recording of a metronome set to the speed of the music in your ipod (my friend did that once XD)

You know when you're a percussionist when,
You've forced yourself to march on the left foot on every odd count of every song.... or the opposite.... depends if you're a dumber....

you find yourself walking in perfect step with the person nearest to you. when you automatically step off with your left foot. when you have to figure out the drum part of a song before you can listen to the melody
