sweatdrop ok, im reading Wicca: a guid for the solitary practitioner by scott cunningham.
im getting my alter tools set up and he recamend burying them. (to give them new energy) but i dont realy want to do that on account that my cup is crystel, or glass im not quite shure. also my incence burrner is a glass jug with a disine on it, and the dirt in my garden is wet most of the time, so i dont realy want to bury it.
so my question is, does anyone have any ideas on other ways of purifying? redface

I know my mom has used salt to purify things. She put a bunch of stones in a big bowl, and covered it with sea salt.
Another thing you could try would be to smudge them... I'm not sure I'm spelling that right, or if it applies to ritual tools. Although I do know we smudged the house once to get rid of the negative energy flowing around. It was like taking incence and walking all the way around the house. I hope this helps.

Moonlight and dawnlight are very good refresheners. xp That's not spelled right, sorry.

The gypsy Queen thank you soo much, but i dont think i cando the sage...my mom would flip, incence makes her nose freak out no telling what sage would do. sweatdrop Yeah, my mom's the same way. Maybe you could get (or make) little herb pillows. Fill it with lavender buds, sage leaves, and other smell good herbal things. 3nodding They aren't too strong and you can make them small enough to put in every corner of the room.

Others have likely responded with the same, but salt and water (either separate, or mixed) can be sprinkled on the altar (or wherever you may need purification), and believe it or not, earth is a good purification element too. ^^ (Salt is contributed to earth, but some like to bury stones and other amulets and talismans' in potting soil, so that they may purify it of negative energies, and charge it).
