Wikipedia says Ashe is supposed to look vaguely French.
None of the characters look very asian, do they? I kinda like that...

ArikaiHart Wikipedia says Ashe is supposed to look vaguely French. None of the characters look very asian, do they? I kinda like that... I like it because it's a very non-Asian setting. If they were all hopping around in kimonos, yeah, it would be nice if they looked Japanese, but as is, it's nice.

I didn't like Vaan because he suddenly didn't feel like the main character part-way through the game, or Ashe because she just came out of nowhere and stole that role (so it appears).
Fran beat them both with her mysterious nature and familiarity with various mechanics. Besides, you never find out her age, which I thought was pretty cool.
