Morgan Lifecar

As some of you may have noticed, I tend to like the older cars. I've always loved Morgan Motor Company's vehicles because of their classic styling reminiscent of the 1930s, especially the Aero 8. I was recently looking at their website and came across the "Lifecar". To me, it is possibly the epitomy of today's design. Its full fender skirts remind me of the late '30s Cadillac V16 roadsters... it's set back c**k-pit and recessed grille reminds me of the incredible french-designed coaches and coupes of the same era, while it's full bumpers and modern headlight-styling give it a fully-rounded feel. And what's great about is it is that it's also environmentally friendly being a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. It may only have a 200 mile range, but, this isn't an everyday car. I never thought I'd see a car that would want me to see hydrogen fuel cell vehicles become a common thing, but, this car has vastly altered my opinion of fuel cell vehicles.

I am skeptical about whether or not it will reach the American market, I sure hope it does.

Opinions?

very nice, you have pretty good taste for cars.

but i think america is halting cirtain imports, they plan on halting the new skyline and the planed on Supra. i saw a few pics of the supra. As we know, Imports are selling way better than domestics. so I'm guessing that they are trying to gain profits by slowing import vehicles and improving their line of cars.

that car is stunning, i wouldn't mind taking it on in a time attack

Their is no proof from Toyota that there will be a new Supra, and yes, the new GT-R is coming to america, it's even on their USA website.

As for the Morgan, it definitely is retro. I like it though, has a very mean look to it. But for simple reasons, I still prefer the Aero 8.

Whether a car will be imported is up to the manufacterer of said car and not some generalized "they" conspiracy dedicated to upholding lagging domestic sales. And GMan's right. There is no Skyline GT-R coming to America because the new GT-R isn't called a Skyline anymore. It's just called the GT-R, and it is coming.

The Skyline is already in America as the Infiniti G35 and G37.

As for that car, it looks really cool, but I don't think there any plans of production.

Thank you, it comes from hanging out on traditional hot-rod forums, like The H.A.M.B.

It'd be a shame if we halted imports, considering we're a capitalist society, whoever can succeed should be allowed to.

I wouldn't want to race it, I'd just cruise down mainstreet in it...

That's always the dissappointment with concept cars, isn't it? Concepts are some of the most beautiful cars ever conceived, and they'll never see the production line.

Yeah, if the Lifecar doesn't go into production, which is quite likely, I'll just do my best getting an Aero 8...

I'm not too wild about spending that much on a car though... (about $225,000 for an Aero 8 America)...
