Chapter 1
It was a sunny morning in Konoha. All is peaceful as the villagers put up the decorations for the upcoming festival.
"NARUTO!!!!" Okay, maybe not THAT peaceful. As always, Konoha's most surprising ninja did something inappropriate to the pink-haired medic-nin known as Sakura.
"AAAAHH! Sakura-chan!! I'm sorry!!!" Naruto said as he dodged another one of Sakura's punches.
"Sorry isn't good enough!!" the medic-nin said as she punched another hole into the ground.
"AAAAHH! Sasuke!! Don't just stand there teme!!! Help me!!" Naruto told the Uchiha who was amusingly watching from the sidelines.
"Hn. You got yourself into this, you get yourself out, dobe." Sasuke said smirking.
"Come on, Sasuke!! I'll treat you to ramen later!!" Naruto screamed while getting pummeled to the ground.
"Pssh. Ramen's your thing, baka." Sasuke crossed his arms
"PLEEAASE!!!" Naruto was all wide-eyed and teary. Sasuke smirked. It's not everyday you see the air-headed Naruto begging for mercy.
"Hn. Fine." He walked over to Sakura and gave her a sweet kiss on the lips. Sakura easily forgot about beating the life out of Naruto.
"Hey Sakura, you're coming to the festival with me tomorrow, right?" He whispered in her ear after he broke the kiss. Sakura started stuttering
"U-Um, y-yeah, S-Sasuke-k-kun" was all she could manage to say. She was madly blushing.
"Good. I'll see you, then." He then dragged the half-conscious Naruto home while as Sakura was still glued to the spot. She was still shocked at the fact that Uchiha Sasuke asked her out. Sure, Sasuke always kissed her, but that was just to shut her up, and it wasn't anything like what just happened.
'Maybe he likes me too...'
"Hell yeah he does!!!" Sakura's inner said.
Sakura was so excited, she ran to the Yamanaka Flower Shop to tell Ino what happened.

"Oh my gosh, Ino! Guess what!!" Sakura said to her blonde friend when she reached the shop, beads of sweat on her face from all the running.
"Uuuhh, you need a glass of water?" Ino guessed as she handed Sakura a bottle of water to drink which Sakura gladly accepted.
"Well that too. Sasuke just asked me out!!!" the pink-haired kunoichi said after drinking from the bottle. Ino squealed.
"Oh my gosh! Congratulations!!" Ino gave her friend a hug. They were the best of friends ever since Ino gave up on Sasuke and started going after Chouji (Don't ask me what she sees in him). "We should totally plan out outfits for tomorrow!!"
"Sure!! Let's invite Hinata, Tenten-san and Temari-san too!!" Sakura was all giddy.
"Yeah! Tell them to come to my house at about three in the afternoon, then we can all go shopping together!!" Ino replied a little too estatic.
"Okay!!" With that, Sakura left the shop to go tell the other kunoichis.

"Hinata!!" Sakura screamed at the top of her lungs. Hinata was with Naruto blushing really hard in front of Ichiraku's.
'Hm, I wonder what happened...' She thought. Hinata turned around at the sound of her name. Saukra walked over to them.
"H-Hi, Sakura-san." Hinata said quietly.
"I better go Hinata. See you tomorrow." Naruto said.
"O-Okay, Naruto-kun." Hinata waved bye to him. Sakura eyed the two.
"Heey, Hinata. What's up with you and Naruto, hmm?" Sakura teased her raven-haired friend. Hinata blushed deep red.
"U-Um, n-nothing, Sakura-san. D-Did you need anything?" She asked connecting her index fingers together. Sakura then remembered what she was doing a while ago.
"Oh yeah. Ino said that all us girls should have a shopping spree for tomorrow's festival. She said to go to her house at three in the afternoon." Sakura stated.
"O-Okay, Sakura-san. I-I'll be there." Hinata replied.
"Great! Oh! By the way, do you know where I could find Tenten-san? She isn't training in the training grounds with Neji-san." She asked knowing full well that Tenten always trains with Neji.
"O-Oh, m-maybe they're at the m-meadow at the heart of the w-woods." Hinata said.
"Thanks, Hinata." After that she left. Her next destination was the meadow Hinata mentioned to her.

On her way to the woods, Sakura spotted Temari watching the clouds drift by atop a hill. She walked to the wind mistress remembering that Ino wanted her to come along too.
"Hey, Temari-san." She said to the dirty blonde. Temari was staring dreamily at the sky, her trusty fan right beside her. 'She almost looks lovestruck.' Sakura thought.
"Hey." Temari replied sighing, teal eyes still softly staring at the clouds. Her face still in a dreamy smile. Sakura knew that Temari was off in her own world so she decided to bring her back to planet Earth.
"Uhm, Temari-san?" She started waving her hand in front of Temari. Temari snapped out of her thoughts.
"Huh? Oh, hey Pinky." Temari said. She gave everyone a nickname, wether it was Ino (Blondie) or Shikamaru (Shika-kun).
"Are you alright? You were kinda spacing out a while ago." Sakura asked the older kunoichi. Temari's face turned a slight tinge of pink as she remembered what she was thinking before "Pinky" showed.
"N-Nothing. Did 'ya want anything anyway?" She asked shaking the thought out of her head.
"Ino said to come at her house at three." Sakura replied.
"Blondie? Yeah, sure. I'll go." Temari said even though she didn't know what they were gonna do. Her mind was off thinking about someone again. (A/N : coughcoughshikamarucoughcough)
"O-Okay." Sakura said wierded out but still sane. She quickly left to go look for Tenten.

"So, Neji. Do you have any idea why Hinata was with Naruto a while ago?." Tenten asked her best friend, Hyuuga Neji. A while ago, they saw Hinata talking to Naruto in front of the Ichiraku Ramen Bar. Neji smiled at Tenten and nodded his head. Suprisingly, when he's alone with Tenten, he always showed his emotions. (Except for crying DUH! The day sixteen-year-old Neji cries is the day the world cracks.)
"Yeah. She told me last night that she was going to ask him to go to the festival with her." Neji replied, smiling at Tenten. They were out in a slightly-tilted meadow that was surrounded by Sakura trees. Both of them were sitting down on the soft grass. Tenten blinked.
"So... You're not mad or anything?" She asked.
"Why would I be? Hinata-sama does like him. Besides, Naruto's a good guy. He's gonna get the life beaten out of him by Hiashi-sama if he hurts Hinata-sama, though." He replied. Tenten chuckled.
"Good point." Silence passed until Neji broke it.
"So, who are you going with?" Neji asked emphasizing the word "you". Tenten started to blush.
"Uhm, I was kinda hoping...that I could...go with...you." She told the boy. 'Darn Tenten! Why start to act like Hinata NOW!?' She mentally scolded herself. Neji stared at her then smiled.
"Sure. I'll go with you. I'll pick you up at around five in the afternoon. Sound good?" He asked.
"Yeah, that sounds good." She replied. At the horizon, she heard her name being called. Neji heard it too as they saw Sakura at the far end of the meadow.
"I'll see you tomorrow then." Neji said and gave Tenten a kiss on the cheek. Tenten was stunned. Neji then disappeared in a puff of smoke. Tenten touched the cheek Neji kissed. Sakura ran over to her.
"Hey, wasn't Neji-san with you?" She asked. Tenten finally realized she wasn't dreaming and answered.
"Yeah, but he said that he had something to do." Tenten quickly lied through her teeth. Hey, if you had to keep a secret about a certain Hyuuga, you'll learn to lie that easily, too.
"Oh okay, anyway Ino wants us to be at her house at three in the afternoon." Sakura said.
"Why?" Tenten asked. But she was too late seeing as Sakura had already taken off.
'I guess I'll go, although I wonder what Ino wanted. Sakura seemed a bit giddy as well.' She thought as she stood up. She headed for Ino's house seeing as it was half an hour 'till three. She touched her cheek again thinking of the Hyuuga prodigy.
'Neji...'
