Another launching Maple Story problem.

"Failed in proper screen mode for Gr2D"

My brother's computer was able to play Maple Story before, but it crashed several times due to viruses so it's been reformatted a lot. Since then, we've always gotten this error message on his computer. Other MMOs don't seem to start up on his computer anymore, which I find very, very peculiar. Like Maple, they've all worked before.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried running the Maplestory set up? The directory is C razz rogram FilesNEXONMapleStory. When in that folder you should see an icon that says setup, if you run that then you'll next get a dialog box that says

"This program sets your monitor frequency up for MapleStory.

Please run this program if your screen turns pitch black, or if you see a warning on your monitor exceeding the range of frequency of your monitor.

When the game starts, are you able to see the game clearly?"

After that, you'd click on no, then the tests will begin until you can see the logo, after that finishes and you find the frequency you should be able to play the game.

Thank you, Kaiorin II whee heart I'll keep that in mind the next time I download Maple Story for him, because my father got paranoid and reformatted the computer again. Downloading all the crap my brother had is a pain~! gonk
