hahaha I’m not saying I’ve got anything against Cap nor that he a crappy hero. I mean, yeah, he has super strength and great resilience and all that super-human stuff but I was just wondering why he's so many peoples favourite. Usually people like heroes because of their powers or because of the hero’s personality. Now, although being super-human is ok as a power, usually super heroes with that power have something else big going for them to make them more interesting. Take the Black Panther for example he was pretty much the same deal as Cap, super-human abilities and all that but he was interesting because he exploited his super human senses and used it as a means to track a 'prey', essentially he made an otherwise bland super-power original and interesting, not to mention he was a scientist and had access to all sorts of cool artefacts. I mean Captain America had super human senses right? But you never saw him do anything that I found overly interesting and original with them. Another example is Kraven the hunter the villain from Spiderman, pretty much the same deal as Cap he drunk his potions and gained the super-human abilities but he was cool because he was MENTAL he had a really original and interesting personality. Every fight to him he considered a ‘hunt’ and even when he finally beats Spiderman he doesn’t kill him he just pretends to burries him and steals his identity. Anyway back to Cap, what other than the super-human stuff dose he have? He had a shield and he fought Nazis, and his personality I’d describe as kind of "goody, goody, boy scout" which to me just seems like a kind of bland combination. In my opinion although something’s about Captain America are interesting at times and although he has been involved in some interesting story lines, as a character he isn’t got enough going for him for me to consider him "cool" and essentially this is why it confuses my that he’d be so many peoples favourite. I suppose it is plausible that people have found a fondness for him sheerly due to the intriguing events that have occurred to him but I just doesn’t convince me.
Ps. My vote as you could probably see up ^ there seeing as it’s the only vote that isn’t for Cap was for Thor. I just love the personality of that guy kind of reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger in some of his films and that makes me laugh sometimes. Also the whole god thing and the rivalry with Loki is also kind of cool. I mean i love the consept of a god sitting up there on his clowd who is then kicked off it and when he arives down to earth and thinks well im here, now what? I know I'll become a super hero, I mean making an incarnation of a god a super hero is a really original and cool concept in my opinion
