Here are three random poems i wrote,
Hope you like them!
~Un-named poem~
It's amazing,
How in one place,
People are dying,
And in another,
People are laughing.
In Iraq,
A twenty-one year old soldiar is dying in his friends arms,
While in califonia,
A twenty-one yearold is drunk in his friends arms.
A man is pointing a gun at an innocent persons face,
While a kid is pointing a water gun at his friends face.
It amazes me,
How good can go on,
While evil does two.
~~Fallen Soldiar~~
On the battle field,
Bullets whipping by,
The soldiar breathes.
He breathes the dust,
The Sweat,
The blood of his fallen comrades,
For his country.
As he fights for his country,
The country watches tv,
Eats there greasy Mcdonalds,
And watches there CNN,
Thinking the know whats going on,
But how can they,
If they don't care to think.
The soldiar fights a way,
Giving his breath for the constitution and your rights
"Defending" His country by attacking another.
Fighting in a battle he might die in
And his memoriam is Having him mentioned,
In a newspaper no one reads
So you can live to Stuff yourself another day

~Notebook~
In this notebook,
That I hold in my hand,
Contains a world,
Unlike any world,
Because it is mine.
I am It's leader,
It's creator,
And it's inhabitor.
In this not book i can be anything.
A Hero,
A villian,
A civillian,
A dragon,
anything I want,
In my notebook

Those are very beautiful poems I think. Very powerful in words also. Thank you for writing these though. It's great to have people who care and remember what our men are doing in Iraq!

Those really arnt poems, most poems have some rhyme scheme, i know not ALL have that but i mean it doesnt even have a beat to it, its more like a speech...

I believe that anything written to express ones emotions or thoughts is poetry... poems dont have to follow a certain rhyme scheme, or beat. And speeches are long and boring anyways....these were totally not boring in the least! I rather enjoyed them....

Dark_Bleeding_Soul Those really arnt poems, most poems have some rhyme scheme, i know not ALL have that but i mean it doesnt even have a beat to it, its more like a speech... I dont know how you were tought but I keep getting told that poems are just expressions. Now i never expected these to be all that great but i moved them to my jornal and am creating more + a story
