Rather then listing familiars with the other info I decided to list their information seperate so that I could get more in depth and add a listing for them as well. Contrary to what you might think, familiars too can find a safe haven in Gomorrah. Of course, they can't be as sinful and free spirited as the wolves because they could very well be in danger, but it's less likely they will be killed. The reason is because Lilith has made a deal and set very strict guidlines for these 'lesser creatures'.
The deal is basically this: If they serve Gomorrah in some way (listed below) then they have no fear of ever being killed. Upon signing themselves into this 'oral contract' they are given the right to use her or Karrim's name. If an wolf tries to eat this familiar the familiar in turn could mention either alpha and the packwolf cannot harm them. This also gives them wolf protection outside of the packlands as well.
The jobs are as follows:
Messengers: Most of these animals can move faster then a wolf can. And sometimes howls just don't prove enough when attempting to communicate over long distance. Thus these messangers (usually deers, crows, or squirrels) can get the word out. They act on relay memorization so only the quick witted and swift are suitable for this job.
Spies: Again, going with the fact that they can move faster and go places that wolves can't, this is a very important job for a familiar. They can relay information seen and heard from other animals in the woods or overlooking other packs. They can also keep tabs on wolves whose loyality has been put into question so a traitor can be easily spotted.
Nursemaids: When there a lot of pups running around sometimes the wolf 'nannies' and mothers cannot keep track of them all. So watchful familiars are employeed giving extra safety for the young. Some animals, such as the lynxes/foxes are also in charge of teaching young pups how to hunt while other animals such as crows are used as 'test dummies' for the same thing.
Soldiers: Lilith isn't above putting hooves, claws, and other such things to good use. Some of these creatures, especially bears and lynxes are trained and used in the war game. Loyality is UPMOST important when choosing a good soldier as you don't want to train someone then have them betray you, but in case this does happen instant death is gauranteed.
