It's the most powerful sport racing car of all time, record holder of the Le Sarthe Lap record to this day, and it's over 30 years old..

I can't imagine what it must have been like, for the drivers, to drive one of these beasts.

Is that the one where Porsche ran into financial trouble and had to turn to Volkswagen for help, and therefore it was air-cooled?

Anyway, a bit austere in it's appearance, still, incredible car.
