I keep talking and talking about getting myself a laptop soon, but sometimes I wonder if it would be better to make The Big Switch and become an elitist f*****t a Macfag.
People talk and talk about how "it's more secure lol" but what does that mean? People say it like it's supposed to be worth its weight in gold but no one ever bothers to explain it in coherent, or for that matter, any kind of detail. I know that shitloads of viruses aren't supposed to be able to work or something, but I just think it's because nobody cares enough to make viruses for Macs.
I know there's something about how PCs can easily get their registries ******** up because legit programs overwrite overwrite overwrite or replace the .dll's, but I'm not really looking to install that much.
Tell me stuff that'll make me want a Mac. I doubt I would get one, but if you're not a f*****t about your argument, I'll actually listen to it, because I really want to know the pros and cons.

It's more secure cause far less people have them compared to pcs so nobody bothered to make viruses or anything for them.
FOR MAC:
User-friendly interface Cool looking Makes you feel better about yourself
AGAINST MAC:
You have to relearn a lot of things that are probably second nature for you by now, such as burning a data cd. Way more expensive than a pc with comparable stats. Yes they can still crash. You get a lot less software available to you.
I mean when it comes down to it I like macs fine and use them when I have to edit video at school but there's more things I use my pc for like games and such. Macs are going to be a lot more expensive that pcs though, especially if you want a gaming one.

I was considering a mac for my new Baby. So we went to the Mac store.
The least expensive Mac laptop they had has these nasty sharp edges that dig in to your wrist if you type with your hands laying down on the keyboard. I rather bitterly joked to my mother that the emo artists who use macs use the laptops because it cuts them and lets them do art.
And the whole, not a ton of programs for it.
Um. s**t. You wanted stuff that would make you want a Mac. I can't think of anything.

I've only ever used a Mac at school.
Their iMovie system rocks. I dunno if the Macs come with it or not, but damn.
I realize this doesn't help 'cause you're prolly not into movie editing or anything.

olol this thread makes me not want a Mac. rofl
That's definitely what I thought, that nobody cares enough to make viruses for Macs. hurrhurr. I did read this article once about a keylogger that had cropped up for Macs so NO ONE IS SAAAAFE. :U
lawdy, yes, they're so much more expensive. *vomit* I don't even get why. An 80 gig Mac is more than a 120 gig HP, last time I checked. Sounds like setting sail for major fail.
lol, last night I listed the things I was gonna want to install, and Photoshop was gonna be a no because my crack and my friend's crack that I plan to DL are PC cracks, Winamp was gonna be a no because my friend DL'ed or tried to DL the Mac Winamp and she said it sucked, and no Winamp means no SHOUTcast, I'd need to find a new SNES9x since there doesn't seem to be a ZSNES for Macs and... the list goes on for a bit. : (
