All good things must come to an end, and Avatar is no exception. After Sozin's Comet, Day of Black Sun, or whatever the final kickass war-deciding battle will be, what will happen to Aang&Gang?

Everyone has different ideas and theories about this, so please feel free to share. Obviously, the post-war theories will contain shipping tidbits, so I ask very kindly that you PLEASE do not bash other people's ideas.

For me, this would be my ideal Avatar 'verse, post-war. I've included short summaries for each main character.

AANG: Obviously, being the Avatar, he'd travel all over, restoring peace to the Four Nations.

KATARA: Katara would be an ambassador for the Southern Water Tribe for diplomatic meetings, and would likely travel with Aang.

SOKKA: I'd imagine him returning to the Southern Water Tribe, if only for a short period of time, to spend time with his kin and to train young warriors.

TOPH: She and Sokka would settle down somewhere in the Earth Kingdom after he returned from his time at home, and she would teach Earthbending. (I don't have a particular idea for what Sokka would do for a job.)

ZUKO: He would become Fire Lord, Mai at his side. With the war over, he'd help restore the conquered lands back to the rightful nations.

IROH: Providing he lives through the war (I have a horrible feeling about him, and my who's-gonna-die feelings usually turn out right), I imagine him being Zuko's adviser.

Of course, these ideas are ALL based around how I'd like it to turn out, shippings and all. Will they happen? I bloody well hope so, but in all actuality, probably not.

So, tell me yours! Don't worry, I won't bite your head off if your ideal ending pairings are Taang, Zutara, and Sukka. I might growl at you a bit but I won't bite. smile

Time moves in a spiral

Lesse now...

Aang: traveling around the world, looking for more airbenders and making peace. Misses Katara dearly.

Sokka: returns to the South Pole to trian warriors and be an elite under his father. Visits Kyoshi(sp?) island and Suki often.

Katara: goes to the north pole to train young women waterbenders. Aang visits her often.

Iroh: he survives I say! And he becomes the fire lord for a little while, before handing it off to Flamescar. (Flamescar = Zuko.)

Toph: lives with Iroh and Flamescar in the fire capital, because her parents wouldn't accept her new lifestyle. Trains with Flamescar.

Zuko: help Iroh to rule for a while, then takes over. Trains with Toph.

Azula: Locked up in the deepest darkest dungeon imaginable... or better yet, a room filled with natural gas so any firebending would kill her!

Ty Lee: Back to the circus, and slightly sad that her side lost.

Mei: Back to her dull life, more bored than ever.

always going forward, yet repeating itself.

Hmmm... I haven't really thought about it, but I suppose now's as good a time as ever. Here's what I think is most likely to happen (not necessarily what I want to happen).


Ozai: Defeated. The end.

Aang: Assuming he survives, he would be like most of his past lives and live a wandering life for the rest of his youth. I think he would want to spend some time savoring learning the finer points of the elements and to really practice them unlike his helter skelter, mad dash to save the world. Also, since nature and the Avatar like balance, he'd find some way to start up the airbenders again.

Zuko: From the looks of season three's trailer his chances of living or dying are now about 50/50, we'll have to see how the series goes. If he doesn't realize war and conquering is wrong before the final battle he will defanately die. He doesn't have to become an all out good guy though, but if he doesn't accept his uncle his chances are slim. I hope he comes to realize his father and grandfather were wrong and changes his ways, then becomes Fire Lord and leads his people to peace. Honestly, I don't see Maiko in his future. This is not denial of the trailer, just my honest opinion.

Iroh: A martyr's death. We won't get to see much of him in season three, and he'll most likely die at some point due to the voice actor thing. I hope he dies heroically, sacrificing his life to stop his younger brother. I also think it'd be great if he upstaged Aang. XD

Katara: Destined to marry a powerful bender, the creators won't do anything BUT Kataang. She'll return to the south to help rebuild her home and open a Southern Water Tribe bending school before eventually marrying Aang when he's ready to settle down.

Sokka: Lives the rest of his days with Suki on Kyoshi Isle, visiting the south pole often when not training with the girls. (Sad as I am to admit, that's most likely).

Toph: Returns home to her concerned parents, is showered with smothering attention, they try to punish her, she rebels and they spend a while butting heads. Eventually Toph's parents accept her as she is then do a complete 180 and start boasting of their powerful daughter. (The 180 could happen when they hear the full story of the final battle and may start boasting of her before she even returns home.)

Azula: Hopefully killed. By lighting. Lighting she shot at Zuko then he redirected back at her because of the technique Iroh taught him. Hopefully Zuko doesn't forget to channel the lighting through his stomach and die a martyr's death.

Ty Lee and Maiko: Imprisoned for war crimes as well as aiding and abetting Azula. Oh snap, you guys didn't see that one coming! XD

Cabbage guy: Survives, though his cabbages did not.

Foamy: Foams one last time in the epilogue... then never does so again. (It's not a proper season unless he foams once).




I dearly wish they'd bring Yue back and Sokka ended up with her instead, but that probably won't happen. crying
