But...an IPOD plays mp3s...that is all it does..all ipods are mp3 players...I prefer the nomad, it works great, it is a little, very little bit heavier then an ipod and for 200$ it stores as much as a 350$ ipod and it has eq customize music library good batery life, usb2.0, so if you want to listen to music save 150 bucks and get the 30gig nomad zen xtra. I have my computer backed up on mine and 3100songs with over 10gigs of space left.

I am going to try to be nice..Ipod is a product manufactured by apple, when an mp3 is a file format directed towards audio meda which is a slightly but not very compressed format which and Ipod uses these mp3s to play music and stores then on it and that is what you are listening to, an mp3 so..all these other players of mp3s..they are not called mp3s but mp3 players, they even have that accesory on gaia i mean damn, well with these you store this data format of mp3 on then so you can listen to it, which is the exact same thing the ipod does, be it a rio, nomad, jukebox, walkman, ipod or any of the others out there, they do the same thing, some look different, some have more accessories, some are reliable and cheap and that is the one i like, some may have 4848 accesories that cost 100$ a peice and a battery that lasts 18 months till you need a new one*cough*damn ipod*cough* needing 80$ every 18months but come on now, get some common sence and maybe learn something damnit, so many stupid people...well since i don't want to get ejected from the guild i i will stop now

I agree with you Silvernova.
Everybody makes such a big deal about iPods. Because they're iPods. The 'in thing' right now.
But really they're just mp3 players which have been around for god knows how long.
((Plus I think they're ugly looking. mad ))
