I think I'm starting to get the hang of Pacific Crest's marching style. So maybe instead of going VK like I was planning to, I'll audition for PC...either PC, The Academy, or The Mandarins...maybe even SCV. idk, I just wanna go world class. Maybe I'll just try and convince my friend to go PC with me razz

GO PC!! That's the route I'm taking, if I even make it. x] VK's my second choice though, or Impulse solely for their front ensemble.

Convinced him to go PC with me, so it's all good. VK would be my backup (in case I don't make PC, which is highly unlikely, cause PC accepts just about anyone really). The only reason I don't want to go PC is the marching style. It's so weird! I like the straight leg technique xP Shoot, I would have marched with them this year, if I hadn't gotten sick xP Ah well.

Oh s**t. Now David wants to go SCV...Sam should try out with us ;D
Oh one last thing. In the video, the tuba instructor. Funny story about how we first met him. My friend, Ashley, wanted to hold one of the contras. We didn't know who to ask, so we asked my sL (cause he marched with PC last year) He told us to look for a wise looking man with an asian beard and chopsticks in his hair. The way he said it...priceless.

Cherry Ki heh, moving from the pic thread cause well, itz for pics xD anyways, kookie, thatz my school's style (pacific thingy) and I think itz pretty simple~ ^^ True dat xD I have coordination issues. The fact that my legs obey me with the straight leg technique amazes me. Whenever I was in t-ball, I would hit the ball, and try to run, but there were usually an "error" whenever my brain would send a message to my legs, and my upper body went forward, and my legs went nowhere. Still have that problem today sometimes, though I've gotten a grip on it. Anyhoo~ why does that apply? The whole "your feet is basically at a 90 degree angle" thing always ******** me. I'm excellent at straight leg though (I swear, I'm related to Nazis)

I'm excellent at straight leg though (I swear, I'm related to Nazis) well, itz the first style I ever learned so it never seemed all that strange, anything else seems...floppy x] My biggest thing is staying behind the person in front of me....i can easily stay in a line, shoulders lined up, but for some reason not seeing where i'm going confuses me.

k00kie d0ugh xD you never know Though, I guess your definition of simple is far different from mine. Haha probably. I consider some marimba pieces simple only because of their composition. I can go into the mechanics of it all, but that would constitute me writing a whole freaking book on it. XD I'll try though, if I have enough money to pay for the auditions. Still going for PC however. razz

I checked the audition/marching fees for both corps. Audition fees are the same ($100) and marching fees are about the same (~$3000) I'm down to do a lemonade stand...well, I'm sure Belski, ABI, the random music stores around here, and our neighbors would sponsor us too...

I would hope! Either we do a lemonade stand or we sell drugs and prostitutes. PROFIT MAN.
