T.A.O. Today I verified a calculation report resolving AISC tubesteel punching shear for Level A/B and Level C/D loading, making sure I could dive into the attached MATHCAD program to ensure that the equations made sense and were calculated correctly. So yeah, the math in this guild is fun ^_^ Once I understand the scale of things I think I'll be able to do it by memory. I'll have you know, you're a freaking magician with me. I can't make heads or tails of most math that I come by, and I can't remember ANYTHING to do with numbers, it seems. Letters are my friends. X3 Which is why I'm dreading the required science and maths we have to do here. T T

T T Where were you when I was taking AP Calc? T T
By this time, the required class that I have to take to graduate is all algebra, and that stuffs easy.

Calc KILLED my GPA. >< I actually did well in Algebra.
Maybe it's a right-brained thing....

I have no idea. I'm super dumb with math. I just finished algebra II with failing almost all the tests...and still getting a B.

Maybe it's a right-brained thing.... Are you implying that you're left-handed?

Calculus generally requires less raw number crunching. Its an interpretation of what the equations mean, rather than just seeing them as random assortments of letters and numbers.
Calculus is what cemented me into becoming an engineer. Even though these days I dont use it as much... Excel is a timesaver in that regard smile

Bla I don't do math.
Sword- She's right-handed, she's right-brained. She uses her right side of her brain more than her left. That's why she's so creative...and she gets so behind on so many things.

@ Kalbi: Trust me, it is.
@ Sword: No, I'm a right-handed little t**t.
@ TAO: Calculus is beyond me. I really didn't understand it, and it was only thanks to the fact that I had hours at home to work on homework that saved me.
