The boy stirred a little. Gabriel didn't move from where she sat on her bed. He was chained to the foot of the bed. From pure exhaustion, he had fallen asleep. At that was left of his clothing was his pants. The vampiress had permitted him to wash up so the blood he was once covered with was gone. He was covered in wounds, some human teeth marks. Gabriel hadn't bitten him. Katherine's blood filled the air. "Hello?" She called out. She wasn't sure it was her yet, despite the blood.

"Its me." She spoke softly quickly finding her way in the vampiress maze of death. Her voice was herd in the darkness as she walked into the room seeing the boy her purple eyes shot back to her. "I hate to be the one to deny you food but thats a boy not even a man yet." She spoke her voice held no malice but was simpley put.

She smiled. "Tell that to the people who sent him down here to map the tunnels. Him and those bodies pilled up elsewhere in the tunnels." Gabriel reached down and pet his head. He stirred awake and blinked at Katherine. She motioned for him to show his wounds. "I didn't hurt anyone down here. They killed each other. Check for yourself. I did not bite him. Nor did I bite any of the others. The game was to keep the tunnels unmapped. Paradox did some.... redecorating of the system down here. Men found out and wanted it remapped. They sent those and this boy here." Gabriel undid his chains.

"The smell is rather horrid. I never really noticed it with one or two bodies. If you don't mind, I'll clean out the other tunnels for you. It wouldn't be good having too many know their way around." She laughed. It was sweet but terrifying to the average man. The boy walked over to Katherine and bowed before her. He had no smile on his face until he ran back and curl back up on Gabriel's bed. "And I will try and visit. But..." She pet the boy's hair. He was shivering a little from the cold in the cave. "Would you mind if I brought him along? I'm afraid his trust has been shattered in is fellow man and I think it would be good for him to be around others."

"The clean up will be quick. And you can tell who ever followed you that I can smell them. There may be a lot of blood, and yours the strongest smelling, but I can still smell them." She smiled and walked back into the tunnels with the boy to clean up most of the mess. He held on tightly to her hand as they plunged deeper into the darkness.

Matachi suddenly stood behind Katherine as he walked out of the darkness "Not bad." he said as he smirked in the darkness as he followed along behind Katherine

While walking with the boy, he told her he wanted a new name. The name they chose was Kaleb. In places near one of the few openings, Kaleb took the bodies outside and left them in a pile by the entrance. It was slow work as only he could go outside, but most of them got cleaned out. Eventually, she had to carry him back and place him on her bed to rest.

Katherine noded some. She mounted her own horse then. "You think I would get into trouble, or are you worried I am loseing it?" She spoke in a very serious tone. She then kicked her horse lightly for a brisk walk beside his own mount.
