One GREAT reason to be bias against it: http://myimmortalrehost.webs.com/chapters122.htmOne decent reason to dislike it: It's over-commercialization of a theme gone to rest (Nightmare before christmas) that's still selling products way beyond it's time simply for the fact that it's continually being re-grafted onto every hip scenester that pops out of MTV's bumhole. Because of this, the original art that was NBC was mutated and twisted into a corporation that's selling a skull head and stitches to teens who're advocating something that they're seeing as something "deep and dark" when really it was nothing more than a cute Disney movie that had it's time in the spotlight and needed to die, much like the characters were already doing. Along with that, the hot-topic company has more than once stolen from very well known artists in-order to sell a product, including but not limited too; downloading images from well known 'gothic' deviants and posting the image on their packaging, assuming advocacy of well known e-leberties in order to advertise, and simply hiring people who fit into the look of an 'older hottie' to the scene of the moment, be it Emo, Goth, Scene, HardxCore etc. And that's a slice of why I dislike Hot-Topic.

It's a store, that has stuff I like. I'm going to buy it's products regardless of what others think.

Why not buy from suppliers at 1/2 price 1.5 times the effort and 0 guilt for paying a company like that?

I don't have any guilt about it, and it's easier.

Atrasententia I don't have any guilt about it, and it's easier. Ignorance=Bliss for you then? Unfortunate.

Kingrussel Atrasententia I don't have any guilt about it, and it's easier. Ignorance=Bliss for you then? Unfortunate. No. Ignorance is more of an irritant for me. I just don't care about people 'justifications' for not buying from a certain place.

There is a difference between not knowing something, and not caring about said thing.

Atrasententia There is a difference between not knowing something, and not caring about said thing. v. cared, carĀ·ing, cares v.intr. 1. To be concerned or interested: "Once inside, we didn't care whether it rained or not." Thus To Not care is: To not be concerned or interested. Otherwise known as: To Ignore.

There is still a difference in Ignoring something, and not knowing something. The end result is the same, the only thing that changes is how you feel about it. And I don't give a damn.

Ignorance, the root word being Ignore, as in to dis-regard after learning of. You're being ignorant, which was my point before. So excuse me for bringing valid arguments to the table to have them IGNORED by you. [The Word of the day was brought to you by I! ]
