Even though it must have been a truly bizarre sight, Raga managed to make it to the rendezvous point without attracting too much attention. It was impossible to consider her not being noticed at all, after all, it was a Hidden Village they were in. But nobody gave her any trouble, even though she must have looked pretty suspicious. So either everyone else didn't care, or they were waiting to see what she was doing. If so, they wouldn't have very long to wait at all. Finally, she came to a stop, breathing a good deal harder than when she started. She was still able to set the twins down carefully, though. A moment later, a cloaked figure, reminiscent of the Anbu appeared, their face hidden behind a mask. Where the Anbu wore white masks often decorated to appear animalistic, this seemed a different mask entirely. It was what was often referred to as a bandit's mask, or a raccoon's markings. It covered the eyes, save for the two eye holes, and not too much else. A bit fancier than most, though. (9980 words + 186 words = 10166 words)

A fair amount of time has passed since the last time that Sango had actually taken time to do anything other than hold a chip on her shoulder because of what was done to her clan in the past and what little that was done about it from her village. Sango did not really feel that she was a member of the village but rather it was just where her clan’s resting place happened to be. Sango sat up in the bed and took a series of three or four deep breaths that would completely fill her lungs before she would rotate a quarter of a turn and allow her legs to dangle over the side of the bed. Sango would then raise both arms up and reach as far out as she was able while drawing in two or three more deep breaths. Sango did not feel like doing anything any more and if she was able to just lay around in the bed until the minutes she passed on, she probably would at this point in time. However, Sango would lower her arms and move herself forward on the bed and allow her feet to slip into the slippers that where on the floor next to her bed. The place were they had been left last night when she took them off to get into the bed. Sango then sit there for roughly a minute as she tried to think about something to do today to keep her mind off the fact that she hated the Village Hidden among the Leaves with a passion that ran deeper than anyone could imagine. Sango’s mind jumped from idea to idea as she was attempting to decide what to do. Sango finally decided to say screw it and head towards the local dojo and see what kind of training she could do to improve herself. Sango longed to bring about a shadow of fear upon the whisper of her name, but Sango also knows that if she ever hoped to achieve this goal that she needed to be stronger and faster. Sango’s eyes would narrow as she glared out the window upon the village. Sango needs to put on her calm and nice face because she did not want to give the fear off at this point in time since it would cause the ones that Sango felt brought this destruction upon her clan. Sango knows that deep down she is going to have to bit her thong for a while long and were the mask she allows to see. Sango would continue to glare out the window for only about two minutes before she would then stand up and pick up a few needed things and make her way across the little one room apartment which was known as her home.Old: 500 // New: 471 Last Post

Raga eyed the newcomer but didn't say anything. They looked like the same person it had always been, not that she could tell very much at all about them, considering they were wearing a heavy cloak and a mask. They moved to pick up the Kon twins, showing little difficulty in picking either of them up one handed, nor showing very much concern for their safety, tossing them roughly over their shoulder much like Raga had, only rougher. Raga wanted to protest such rough treatment, but didn't dare, for fear of drawing suspicion to herself. Instead, she waited for the stranger to secure their cargo, and then nodded and turned to walk away. She had barely made it ten feet when a voice called out to her, stopping her in her tracks. She knew it belonged to the stranger, but why? They had never spoken to her before, why now?! (10166 words + 152 words = 10318 words)

Raga slowly turned back to face the stranger, unspoken fears racing through her mind. This was something different, had they figured it out? Had they already discovered her plan to betray them? How? Nonetheless she called upon all of her willpower to not let those fears show on her face, and returned a few steps closer to the stranger before asking what was wrong. For a long moment, nothing, the stranger didn't speak again. Then, finally, he did. He said that no further subjects kidnappings would be taken place in Hidden Leaf, she was to immediately depart for another village and resume operations there. Eyes widening in surprise, she forced herself to not question the order. This was going to make their plan that much more difficult, if she couldn't remain here as backup. But what choice did she have? Instead she simply nodded and turned to walk away without another word. (10318 words + 154 words = 10472 words)

Akira was nearly through with his Anbu training when he suddenly snapped to attention. One of his clones had dispelled. He was looking through the new information that he had gotten from it. It was interesting. "Hmm, so it looks like everyone is back together. That little meeting of the big wigs in Hidden Magic is over and Kuroi wants to talk. About what, I wonder." He stood up and turned to his teacher. "Sorry, but I have to leave without finishing my training again." The old man smiled. "I'm starting to get used to it, prodigal son. Just hurry back." Akira nodded and bowed deeply. He rushed out of the academy not even grabbing his stuff. He did not have any of his weapons on him at this point. But it was all right at this point, it did not seem like he was going to be in any danger back home. He rushed to the docks and made the ride back to Moon.

Shouta and Lolita weren't in a position to do much more than think over this new wrinkle in their admittedly slapdash plan. If Raga wouldn't be on the outside waiting for them, then they were on their own. They would not be able to receive any intelligence, any assistance, not even some words of motivation. But it was too late to back out now. Already, the stranger that was carrying them was moving again, dashing off at high speed, leading to quite a bumpy ride for the two Kons. They forced themselves to not give away any signs of their being awake and aware, knowing that they had to appear fully unconscious until they were sure they were safe. And in this entire situation, the idea of any part of it being safe was downright laughable. Nothing they could do about it now, though, besides hold on, do their best and hope for success. The ride continued on for several long moments. It slowed at some points, and even stopped once or twice. Finally, it came to a stop once more and for a long moment, did not start again. This made it promising that they were at their final destination. Which was odd, they had suspected that wherever the place they were headed to was, it would not have been within Hidden Leaf's borders. But they hadn't traveled very far, so it seemed they were still within the same village. Maybe that was why Raga had been ordered to leave? Hard to be sure, since they couldn't even verify that they were indeed still in Leaf. Instead, they continued to sprawl lifelessly over the stranger's shoulder as he moved once more, before roughly setting them down. Soon, they felt their bindings removed, along with their clothes. Something scratchy and rough was pulled over their bodies instead, and they felt as much as heard the click of the manacles that were secured at their wrists and ankles. They were there. Shouta and Lolita waited as long as they dared before they tried moving, and pretending to wake up. They didn't seem to be blindfolded any longer, but the room they were in was pretty dimly lit, making it hard to see anything anyways. Their eyes adjusted quickly enough, however, and soon they were able to get a decent idea of where they were. It was a mostly bare room, seemingly made from stone or concrete. It felt cold and solid against their backs, and their hands were raised up by the chains coming from the wall. They looked at each other, noticing that they both wore the same bland, gray tunic, that it was very well some kind of uniform for the prisoners here. They tried to slowly pull their hands free of the manacles, but it was no use, they were tight enough to leave no chance of that, and very strongly made, too. No, they would need another solution. The chains keeping them locked up tight were solid, very solid. Too much to even consider breaking free, and they were in the wrong position to really be able to have the locks picked, too. All in all, it seemed rather hopeless. That is, unless you possessed special abilities. Special abilities like the Kon twins' ability to merge their bodies and to a limited extent pass through other, non-living solid matter. Such as the manacles. But before they did, they spent a few more moments inspecting their surroundings, seeing if they could find anything useful, or perhaps manage to hear anything from outside of their prison chamber. They strained their ears, but even then, they couldn't hear anything. There didn't seem to be anything more they could do besides breaking free, so that's what they prepared to do. Shouta and Lolita forced themselves to move slowly. Both to prevent making unnecessary noise, and to hopefully prevent any cursory glances into their cell to reveal they were moving. But moving they were. Slowly but surely they came together. First just moving to stand next to each other. Then, actually standing in the same place, as they merged into one body. The process had also caused the manacles attached to their wrists and ankles to fall roughly to the ground, or to hang from the wall. They hadn't been fast enough to prevent the sudden raucous clang of rusted steel. A moment later, a heavy pounding at the door made them stop in shock. A rough bellow to stop struggling sounded, and then went silent. They sighed with relief, it must have just been the guard doing the same thing they did every time the prisoners grew noisy. No need to check on them, right? Wrong, especially this time. (11112 words + 160 words = 11272 words)

The Kon twins remained combined for a moment, as they strode silently toward the door. It was a large, heavy affair. Thick wood and slightly rusted metal hinges. That meant one of two things. The cell was never empty long enough for proper maintenance, or they left the hinges rusty so they would squeak when the door opened. The second was obviously the more dangerous to them, but there was no need to be paranoid. After all, it didn't appear that they were even being monitored, so how strict could security be? They tried to peer out of the barred grate in the door but found it challenging, it was just a little too high for them. Stepping back, they took one more look around the room, wondering if there was anything they were overlooking. Anything that could be used as a tool. Anything that could give them a potential way out. Anything. There was the cell itself, dingy stone walls and floor. The door, too solid to even attempt to break. The chains, just as solid. Was there anything else? (11272 words + 182 words = 11454 words)

Shouta and Lolita continued their search carefully, meticulously. But in the end, there was nothing that could truly be found that would be any help to them in their efforts to escape. That didn't mean that there was nothing they could do, it just meant they had to be a bit more creative. They took one more look around their room and their gaze finally landed upon a grate. Likely for ventilation, it was fairly small, and looked in not the best condition. That just might work! They partially separated, and soon Lolita began quietly coughing like she was trying to clear her throat, before finally spitting up the object she had hidden there. Much like the famed sword swallowers, she could do that same trick. Of course, she had learned it from a completely different sort of activity. This object would help them put their plan into motion. Now that they had retrieved their tools, Shouta and Lolita would be able to get started on their escape. First, they had to make sure the coast was clear. Fully separating once more, Shouta crept up to the door and listened carefully. He heard a few muted sounds of the guard, still some distance away. It didn't sound like they were coming closer, either. They were safe, for the moment. He returned to Lolita's side, and they quietly discussed who should do what. In the end, Shouta was braced against the wall, with Lolita standing on his shoulders so she could reach the ventilation grate. She held several of the tools in her hands, as well as one or two tucked behind her ear like a secretary's pencil. She got to work, carefully working at the rusted screws holding the grate in place. They would surely squeak if she attempted to unscrew them, so instead she was working on actually cutting them off. It was slow work, very slow. (11604 words + 172 words = 11776 words)

Shouta and Lolita continued their silent actions. Now Lolita was standing atop Shouta's shoulders, carefully working at the grate. It was stubborn, but not impossibly so. She kept at it, pausing every once in a while as they both froze, intently listening to any sound that could herald the approach of the guard. But luckily, they seemed to be left to themselves. Some time later, they had finally finished. The four screws holding the grate in place had been removed, and the grate carefully handed down to Shouta, for them to hide out of sight. With that done, they could proceed with the next phase, after just a short break to rest and gather their strength. this was going to be a challenge, but if they pulled it off, it would make the rest of their task so much easier.
