Hayate smiled happy to see Tuilinn curl up into Cid for extra warmth "He's only met Biggs and Lulu so far because the others would probably see him as dinner until he grows up a little. The other two are being kept in the other room for that reason" he explained pulling a small blanket over the young animals.
Felina frowned thinking to herself that he seemed to have one less bird than she remembered "Oh yeah but mum will have other things to do occasionally as she is queen afterall. It's dad who I feel sorry for as he won't be able to spend much time at all with the kid because of his jobs. In his credit though with is he did make sure that for at least one day a week together even if he had to work through the night"

Oassu smiled hoping Cid would be ok with Tuilinn "Well his fur is soft and warm but remind me what kinda birds do you have again?" he asked sipping his drink "And how many jobs do your parents actually have to do? Your dad seemed perfectly comfortable on his break earlier today" he said.
Zadina nodded "I hear Agralia is build up a mountain or hill so it escalates though yeah the dwarves supposedly hollowed out the mountains themselves by mining to live there though I only have vague memories of the dwarven kingdoms they seem very dark and shady and there's not much sunlight, I didn't really like it" he said.

Amane paused smiling as she fed Merric her bread crumbs "Don't they have artificial light or anything down there to make up for the lack of sunshine. I guess it would be really cold down there too though it would be nice to visit if just once" she sung before shuffling closer and asking Zadina in a whisper "Is it true that all dwarves smell of dodgy drinks and even the women are hairy enough to have beards?"

Felina laughed spotting a raised eyebrow from Hayate "Actually, that was dad slacking off and hoping nobody would notice. Dad has to decide how the elven wealth is distributed amongst all the different settlements and forests along with what the money goes towards be it for education or healthcare or something out. Then theres what countries to ally with, marriages to arrange, new laws to make and resolving any other issues that come up"
"And don't forget keeping his daughters from getting up to no good" Hayate jokingly added to Felina's list. "Well you've seen Biggs and I think you've met Lulu once. Those two are parrots. You know Tuilinn. Finally theres Wedge who is a saker falcon and his father Lorahst but he's not very active nowerdays"

Oassu scratched his chin "You mean even Lulu would think little Tuilinn was a snack? Didn't think parrots ate other birds" he said wanting to go pet Tuilinn again hearing him kweh happily to Cid "Well yeah your dad has a lot but what will your mum be doing?" he asked surprised there wasn't any officials to share those problems with,
Zadina nodded watching him kweh happily "And sure they have artificial light but only lamps and torches and stuff, inside it's bright enough but outside there's a lot more darkness than there is light" he said laughing loudly at Amane's comment "Technically they might think you Viera are hairier but no I didn't see any Dwarven ladies with beards when I was there" he tittered

Amane shrugged "Viera come from little fuzzy animals originally and... I hear dwarves originally came out of rocks and stuff so I think I have a little more reason to be slightly fuzzier than them hehe. Maybe you could teach the dwarves a little bit of magic to make their place brighter with that little magic thing you taught me or at least tried to..." she trailed off concentrating hard on trying to produce a little ball of white light in her hand with only a few sparks from each finger for success. "I don't think white magic is for me"

Felina smiled tempted to try playing peekaboo with the animals "What mum will have to be doing is pretty simple at the moment; sit down, eat double portions and get pestered by half a million servants trying to entertain her while everyone tells her not to do anything to active. Everyone takes issues such as royal births that seriously and the fact it's going to be a boy even more so"
Hayate shook his head "Nah, she just doesn't like noisy things so wouldn't appreciate being kept with a chicobo all day. Part of the reason I think she wants to take you dress shopping is because she really wants to get out and about more than anyone is allowing her to" he guessed

Oassu snickered watching as the animals looked blankly at Felina "Yeah but I mean when she's had the baby what sort of duties does the queen do?" he said "Though sure she probably doesn't get out much though you should take the Chicobo up to see her, I seem to recall her saying she'd like to have one sometime" he said.
Zadina shook his head "Dwarves are famously resistant to magic, they don't have a trace of it in them, it's partially why they were so hated in the Old Wars since elves originally resorted to magic before swords and spears in fact a book I read says we would have lost the wars if Dragons hadn't been harassing the Dwarves constantly" he said smiling as the little sparks appeared "Well I'm impressed you still remember that and can still do it, though you've got a much more special form of magic with summoner magic besides the magic academy at Yithra has a special ritual to help you attune to magic like that" he said

Amane shook her head "Nah this isn't a great attempt at the spell but it would just be nice not to be 100% relying on others be it you and mum or the creatures I'm learning to summon. Though how could dragons give them a hard time? They are the last things you could see underground unless someone was smuggling eggs in" she wondered thinking that there was no way a dragon could or would even want to make its way throgh dwarven tunnels.

Hayate shuddered "Not a chance, wouldn't get it back if I presented her with a chicobo knowing what she's like with animals. She gets all the awkward jobs like entertaining guests and fobbing off the unwanted ones that have managed to make their way into a palace visit and making sure the staff are working properly. She gets more free time than Elorin"
Felina laughed "Yeah I know what you mean, she'll pick up and look after any stray animal that makes its way into her line of sight provided it doesn't try to bite her much. She's not as frosty as she can appear to be at times" she added staring back at Cid.

Oassu chuckled "Well why doesn't she have a massive range of animal pets then? Didn't know she cared so much about them though I'm sure she'll be fine with the prince, that said have they decided on a name yet?" he asked.
Zadina nodded "Well the Dwarves lived outside originally but the dragons lived in mountains and so they fled underground or so the stories go and you get some really big cavernous mountains that even dragons could hide in so you never know" he said "Though you'll control creatures that have more magic than most mages eventually so your magic is really special don't you get down about it" he said petting her ears.

Amane smiled wishing she had more food since Zadina's new pet had pinched at least half of her lunch "If you say so but its gonna be a long while before I get to summon Bahamut, king of Dragons and apparently his temple is one of the hardest ones to get to as its on the top of a mountain that you have to climb up all by yourself as a test of will or something like that" she recalled reading in one of her books.

Hayate shuddered "You've clearly never been to the palace stables or any of the buildings around the palace grounds then. Though most things she brings in get rehomed. And she rereleased a lot of animals before the battle knowing they would be safer in the forest than the palace. Think it's just a few ponies, a horse and a dog she owns now" he pondered.
Felina laughed "You won't see a dog in the palace, dad isn't a big fan of them especially the little ones that yap a lot. I think they decided on calling him Rodelo after who knows how much squabbling over names. It basically means Justice. Dad wanted to give his son a strong name to be king with and mum sort of wanted a more traditional name."

Oassu chuckled "Well she doesn't really show that soft side so often though I suppose it'd be easy to take in any animal you came across if you had the money and servants though if the dog doesn't stay in the palace where does it live?" he asked.
Zadina nodded "Well you should talk to my Uncle the King of the Elves, he can summon Bahamut and I believe he's on pretty good terms with him though when you say by yourself do you mean your guardians can't even go with you?" he asked

Amane paused uncertain "I dunno but I would guess guardians were allowed to climb up along side, just not to help me up with magic or anything. They probably just make it such a hard challenge so not just any old person can try abusing such a powerful summon" she guessed rubbing her ear. "So your uncle really is a summoner? Has he told you many stories about his adventures and did he have an endless amount of guardians because he's king and all?"
