"Hypnotism works by taking advantage of the placebo effect and luring the intended target into a state of relaxed responsiveness. Therefore," she reasoned, "only people who are willing to be hypnotized--can be. What do you have to say about that?"
Following this explanation, Claire could only have been hypnotized if she had wanted to have been hypnotized, in the first place. Otherwise, there would be no placebo effect and no power of suggestion over her.

Vincent continued to keephis eyes trained on Jasmine, "So all we have to do is make Claire a sceptic and she'll be right as rain?"
He shook his head, "I truly doubted she wanted o be hypnotised. I think she just thought it was possible to be hypnotised."
His eyes were cold, "What if your 'theory doesn't work and she still exibits side effects?"

"I don't really care, though I do admit that I wasn't thinking of sushi for breakfast, but why not" Tony said. He made sure he was safely fastened in and waited for Danave to go.
"Sorry, we need to do what we need to do" an agent said.
Anthony leaned over and whispered to Rose "that's just cover up for their lack of fashion sense". One agent was wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Was that really blending in?

Rose snickered. If the agent wasn't so buff and had more fat it would work, but he looks like GIjoe dressed in a Kendoll's clothing.

"Very well actually. The beds were really nice and somehow the place just makes you feel relaxed, like you're in your own little world" Tony said. He wasn't going to tell Danave the dream he had though. No way. That was private property.

"Felipe will be glad to hear that," he replied, going uptown and pulling into a parking spot that was just vacated. "This place is awesome," he informed Tony as he shut the car off. "It has a little circling carousel of floating boats that carry the sushi on little trays. Really good pricing too. Let's go in."
