Gil nodded cuddling Satoshi "Well it's certainly a picturesque place with all the waterfalls and stuff though personally I think I've managed to get the most beautiful flower of this village for myself" he said kissing Satoshi's cheek happily.

Oassu smiled "Well why's she so happy about it? Cause she can have someone younger to boss around and stuff? It'll give her more freedom? Or has she just always wanted a little brother" he asked as they left the throne room.

Zadina nodded a little surprised at the arm linking before he was dragged away "Well Mr Alpha can make himself smaller by appearing as an old human but yeah your right I bet Moogles are experts at hiding" he said

Satoshi smiled trying not to blush as she returned the affection "Well aren't you in a charming and affectionate mood all of a sudden. I think all this summer weather is starting to have an effect on you" she joked nuzzling him "So long as your not too umcomfortable around all this water and the high number of ninjas about then I'm ok"

Felina laughed and nodded her head "I think it's a combination of all of those not she doesn't have a lot of freedoms already, especially in comparison to what me and Elithana have had. Asll she has to worry about is mum trying to marry her off so she has at least one wealthy son in law. She pretty much likes anything small and cute and what could be smaller and cuter than a little baby brother."

Hebal smiled pointing to the blanket beside her with a wrapped up chicobos head sticking up and out of it "He's just warming up again after his little bath see. Though teach me some of those spells sometime so I can clean my house and my shops without so much as lifting a finger with the broom or mop" she giggled.

Amane let out a small "aww" as she leaned over and petted Merric's beak "He's going to be a good swimmer I'll bet when he grows up so maybe he would be good enough to even swim through the ocean" she pondered glancing over at Alpha a little nervous about asing her question. "Say Captain Alpha... when you change form do you have any say as to what you look like as a human, or do you just get what your given"

Alpha scratched his chin surprised at the question "Well yes and no. You can always choose to learn which form you wish learn to use. Like if I wanted I could have learned to give myself a viera or an elf form but apart from that only shape shifters and the most powerful of demons have any say over their physical appearence when changing forms. Meaning demons like me are stuck with that old man where as say, a demon lord of a similar age could change form into pretty much any other race and make hiself look as old or young as he likes"

Gil nodded returning the squeeze "Well yeah but I've killed ninja before so it's no big deal besides this isn't exactly a military zone, it's where you live and stuff so people seem more relaxed here, plus seeing as you are at peace with your clans there's less reason to worry about all the intrigue and sneakiness of other ninja here so it's actually more peaceful here I figure" he said.

Oassu nodded with a smirk "Well nevermind them though I should think I'd been very polite since I've been here though your mother doesn't know I don't own any land, for her sakes I think she still thinks I'm a merchant" he said.

Zadina giggled leaning down to pet Merric "He's a good little Chicobo aren't you? Kweh!" he said mimicing the chocobo's voice "Still there's nothing wrong with your appearance anyway Cap'n Alpha so don't feel bad if you can't choose other forms" he said sitting down beside Merric and Hebal.

Satoshi yawned "The only issues we have to worry about right now is making sure everyone inside the village behaves themselves, which is what police are for and then people like me go around stopping anyone who tries to flee the law for a nice bit of cash. It's a shame all you mercenary types are such loners, it's a nice feeling knowing that so many people are covering your back should you get into major trouble on missions

Felina laughed pulling Oassu in for a iss "Nice try but you don't exactly come across as very rich and powerful business man so I think she would be surprised if you were anything more than a commoner and..." she trailed off waiting for a servant to pass before trying to remember what she was going to say. "Just try to be yourself as much as you can, lets not go spinning too many lies like about your wealth and all the rest" she advised.

Alpha shrugged "Well you see all demons have some magic potential within them and from a young age even the less competant magic users are pushed into trying to shapeshift which doesn't actually require much mana if you don't have specific shapes in mind", he stopped and cleared his throat, "Humans were just encouraged because they are the species with the highest population. That said, not every demon is capable of using what little magic they might have and never transform once, epsecially when there are no similarities in shape and size. Iota is a perfect example really, she was taller than the average human with sharper hearing and was covered in black fur so naturally it was easier for her to become a viera than a human as there was less about herself she had to physically change" he lectured.

Hebal smiled not really listening to what Alpha had just said due to being distracted by Merric's cuteness "Merric is just feeling confused, couldn't tell you any more than that but being on this airship with new people is bound to be a little puzzling at first" she assured him cuddling the chicobo.

Amane paused taking a moment to absorb all the information that Alpha had given her "Well thats pretty cool to hear, wish I could change shape and now you have me wondering... maybe my super strict teacher at school is always so mad because she's secretly a demon" she laughed happily rocking back andd forth in her seat. "Oh trust me Merric knows what those things are considering the amount he used to sneak around the house fetching us any random object he could find.

Gil shrugged "It's not all as solitary as you think, often fight alongside other people or in cities and have to socialise with all the people after the mission as they thank you, not all wandering through the wildnerness" he said stroking Satoshi's face gently.

Oassu chuckled "Isn't that the kinda thing merchants worry about?" he asked "Though hopefully they won't ask too much, best just leave the whole thief thing until we're married then we'll tell her" he said as they stepped outside the castle where the guards bowed to them all again.

Zadina nodded "I see, I guess demons just have less trouble shapeshifting as it's a pretty difficult spell to do it for any prolonged period of time like you do" he said petting Merric "He's probably just confused by our funny talk and stuff" he said picking up Merric to rest him on his lap. "Still maybe he'll be a good treasure hunter one day if he keeps picking things up" he said.

Satoshi sighed happily "It's not really the same though is it, you may meet one or two of them again but you never get especially close to any of them as once you start getting to know someone you have to move on to the next mission. Shame you weren't born here, think you would have fitted right into our way of life and yoi could have had lots of skill potential with all those hands"

"Depends on what sort of things you sell" Felina answered smiling at the guards as they passed "Can we just not tell her anyway or leave a note then flee for a while giving her time to cool down? Though if you want to be a merchant who deals with cabages be my guest but you could pick something cooler like selling armour or general supplies or cloth or jewellery"
