The boy took another seat waiting for his aura to return. Kiketsu could break his fingers and crunch his skull for such a stupid mistake. At this point how could such a little mistake fowl him up. The snake like child would have to practice his seals more often to make sure this type of mistake did not happen again. For this to happen in combat would mean death. Kiketsu was not willing to accept death so early in life. It may have happened to his last home, but the next time the snake boy saw death it would be under his control.

With energy and determination restored, Kiketsu returned to his feet. This time he created the seal first and glanced at his fingers. Then he began to pour the correct amount of energy out of his system to perform the jutsu. Soon an explosion of smoke occurred drowning out the sight of Kiketsu. When the smog cleared a new form emerged. It was Kiketsu or had some similarities to him, but the image seemed to be an older version of him. His dreads were longer down to his back. His height was at least a foot higher than the original. There were many rings and piercings on this new body.
The snake like child had decided that a form completely imagined would be the hardest to create. So he decided to construe an altered version of himself. Most of it was from his imagination and just little quirks to increase the difficulty of the transformation. The many piercings, buckles and torn robe needed much attention to craft correctly. Kiketsu glanced at himself and was proud that his mind and body were able to come to an agreement and create the same image. Of course Kiketsu would not be one to grow into this type. At least for now, he only liked his ear piercing and didn’t care for buckles or torn clothing. The form did do its job and proved to be difficult.
After a few seconds the older version disappeared and boy emerged from another sudden burst of smoke. Kiketsu then decided to walk up to his teacher. “I’m done with the first part Cassie sensei. What do I have to do for the second part?” Kiketsu questioned.
Henge no Jutsu: Part I: Roll a 1d20. You must get an 11 or higher to successfully complete hand seal and transform into a crude image of an object. You must successfully attempt this 5 times. Cp: 2-2= 0 Train: 5/5 Experience: +5
If a student successfully performed the jutsu, he was awarded +1 Experience and -2Cp. If a student failed an attempt, he would lose -1Cp. To regain Cp they had to rest for one post to gain back +2Cp.

Controlling your chakra, 5th edition Chapters 1 to 5 D20 + int mod DC 10 2/5
DC = 4 - 1 = fail 2/5
For some strange reason Hiru seemed to have a lot of trouble with this particular chapter. There was something about different control and dark and light manipulation... this was all extremely confusing to him. He tried reading it from up to down, down to up or even sideways, but nothing seemed to make any kind of sense in there. He was going to have to read it all over again... darn it.
DC = 7 - 1 = fail 2/5
Hiru tried understanding it again. The thing about light and dark manipulation seemed to be for some more advanced tome so he really didn't need to get any of that for the moment. This chapter seemed to be talking about creating water from your own chakra or an outside source but this was all very confusing. Hiru would have to get back to reading this all over again... *sigh*
DC = 7 - 1 = fail 2/5
This time the effort just wasn't in it. He watched the book more than he actually read it, and this was sure way not understand the slightest iota of what it was trying to teach. Hiru slammed the book against his desk in frustration. Kaisou even had to jump out of the way since its tail came a millimeter away from being squished between the desk and the tome in this motion.

Controlling your chakra, 5th edition Chapters 1 to 5 D20 + int mod DC 10 2/5
DC = 15 - 1 = pass 3/5
Hiru got his spirits back together and decided to pick up the book once more. If his wits sometimes caused him trouble, his discipline was definately his biggest weakness of all for the moment. The break had actually helped him though. After taking a few moments to cool down, the book's content seemed a whole lot clearer, and this section turned out to be only an introduction for the next part...
DC = 2 - 1 = fail 3/5
But the next part seemed ten times as complex. It explained the actual mechanics of it and ways to train it. How to voluntarily change chakra into water. Hiru had seen how to manipulate its force yesterday evening as he was reading in his bed, but this was a whole other story. Something about focus with some jutsu examples... Sadly, it all seemed extremely important, Hiru would have to start over.
DC = 9 - 1 = fail 3/5
Nope, still nothing. Hiru had no comprehension whastoever of what he was reading. This chapter talked about some sort of water clones from Kirigakure but it was hazy and complex. The technique seemed cool but reading was certainly not his forte, he would have been one hundred times beter being trained on the field than in a classroom with some strange book. Not like he had much of a choice for now anyway...

It was surprising how much more complex this new book was compared to the other ones Hiru had read not so long ago. THe jump from beginner was relatively simple to take but the leap from intermediate to advanced was apparently gigantic. Hiru had never spent so much time trying to understand a single chapter in a book since that strange tome on hand seals from yesterday...
DC = 3 - 1 = fail 3/5
Even more surprising was that this was the first book on jutsus, and it was actually the very most basic water jutsus a student could learn. If Hiru had trouble with that, how much harder would it be to learn the advanced ones?! It sort of scared Hiru since ninjutsu was apparently his clan's specialty... if he lacked this talent as he lacked their killer instinct, never would he be able to return to his clan.

Even something as simple as a water spit seemed extremely complex to him for the moment, and it frustrated Hiru like hell. He diverted his attention from the book while he cooled off a bit, because he was surely not going to learn anything like this. He put the book down and pet Kaisou a bit, feeding him a nut he picked up before coming in. After a few moments, he returned to his book.
DC = 15 - 1 = fail 4/5
Everything seemed much clearer now. He read about the Mizu bunshin and thought it was a pretty cool and interesting technique. It could probably prove useful in the future, and he took good note of it. He flipped through the rest of the basic jutsus and understood most of them with a new relative ease. He was finally ready to move on to the more advanced techniques.

Finally, Hiru was done with the first five chapters of the book. THis last part was most interesting and explained how to start your chakra control training. If they weren't going to be taught it in class first, Hiru was going to go to the forest to practice standing on walls and on water. Still, he hoped Cassie-sensei was going to teach them something new soon. Hiru put the book in his bag, he'd finish it later.

Uzuki had been in the class for a while, a bit more quiet and observative than he usualy was. He noticed one kid was always finishing his training sooner than all of the other students,his named seemed to be Haru or Hiru or something. Uzuki would need a partner in order to learn the Nawanuke Jutsu. He walked over to the boy and held out his hand for him to shake it. "My name is Uzuki, you seemed to be pretty skilled, how would you like to help me learn a jutsu. Of course that means youl also be learning somethin new so how about it." Uzuki wasn't sure if sensei would be okay with it but the other boy had finished everything else.

((Cassie-sensei told us to start the "Agility training II" when we were done with the henge jutsu. I guess it's this one!))
Hiru was absolutely thrilled to see someone actually walking up to him ! He immediately answered:
"Hey Uzuki, my name's Hiru ! I'd love to tie you up for the nawanuke, I learned it just yesterday. Cassie-sensei wants us to do agility training, but in between exercises I'll sure tie you up!"
Before Uzuki can give any kind of answer, Hiru grabs him by the sleeve and pulls him downstairs to the dojo for dexterity training.

Hiru walked into the downstairs training room. His little eyes opened incredibly wide when he saw the huge room full of seemingly complex contraptions. Cassie-sensei had said something about wooden posts that fall from the ceiling...
Hiru looked up and tried to see where that could be. There were logs on sticks, sandbags everywhere, and... finally there they were. There was a switch connected to a rope that lead to a series of wooden posts. There were two squares drawn on the ground. The first one, near the switch, seemed to be the start and the last one the end.
"Okay Uzuki, find a piece of rope while I try to run this once. I'll tie you up right afterwards!", he told him, overwhelmed with excitement.
Dodging Dojo Wooden posts fall from the ceiling and swinging around. A student must dodge 10 posts to make it to the end. DC: 15 Formula: 1d20 + Reflex Save (Roll 5 dice in one post. Roll 5 dice in second post.) Train: 0/10 Experience: +5 per run Post: -1Hp for every DC fail.
DC = 10 = hit Hp: -1 = 17
Hiru pulled the switch and charged right ahead. "This shouldn't be too hard", he whispered. When he saw the first log coming straight for him, he ran as fast as he could. Like a little blue flash, he powered forward... aaaand finally got brutally hit right on the shoulder. The hit was so strong he was litterally propelled sideways and almost fell to the ground. "This thing is really dangerous!", Hiru finally realized, a bit shaken.
DC = 9 = hit Hp: -1 = 16
Hiru, still a bit shaken and unbalanced from the contact with the first log, was a bit more cautious for the second. He watched the second cut through the air and head right for him. Hiru completely panicked; instead of dodging, running, or even moving at all, he simply ducked and covered until the log hit him right in the ribs and pushed him to the ground. "How am I supposed to dodge these things...", Hiru thought, starting to get a bit discouraged.
DC = 20 = dodge Hp: 16
He got back on his feet nevertheless and got ready for the third one. He calculated everyone of his step. Measuring the distance between his body and the log, the velocity of the two bodies, he probably oculd have done very well. But, this exercise wasn't about calculation, it was about reflex. Hiru wasn't really bright enough to do those kinds of calculations anyway. He stepped forward, and, while barely realizing it, his body lept back maybe a foot and dodged the third log.
DC = 18 = dodge Hp: 16
Hiru was on an adrenaline high from the excitement of finally dodging on of those monstrous logs. He was faster and his nerves were on overdrive. When the fourth log came down, he barely had to think about it. His body twisted downwards and forward, dodging very easily the heavy wooden object that seemed to be heading straight for his shoulder again. Hiru was doing pretty good so far!
DC = 20 = dodge Hp: 16
Hiru's record so far was 2-2. He might not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he was always realistic. For someone as agile as he was, this was a pretty good score. When the fifth log went down, he didn't panic. He had already dodged two of those just before and he knew all he had to do was the same thing that worked twice before. Without any problem, he pushed a bit towrds the left while going to the right and dodged it perfectly.

"I'm halway done now, I have to stay focused..." Hiru thought. After having dodged his third log, Hiru tried running as fast as he could again. Speed has a tendancy to make judging distances more difficult though and Hiru only saw the 6th log coming at the last second. He littelrally dove forward and rolled so that he wouldn't get bashed down by the rough contraption.
DC = 5 = hit Hp: 16 - 1 = 15
The short sprint had exhausted Hiru a bit though. Panting, a bit slower from the effort, his reflexes were a bit dulled and he had to pay the price. When the seventh log came down Hiru barely had time to react. All he did was turn around and get it right in the face. Hiru flew to the ground behind and stayed down for two seconds. Painfully, he got back up and prepared for the next.
DC = 16 = dodge Hp: 15
That last blow had hurt and dazed Hiru pretty significantly. Good thing his nose wasn't that long to begin with or else it would have most likely been boken by the force of the impact. Still, he was almost done and had to continue. Maybe it was the pain, or maybe it was luck, but when the eigth log activated Hiru's body reacted almost by itself and leaned down, just low enough for it to whiff right over his head.
DC = 17 = dodge Hp: 15
When he reached the ninth log, Hiru was practically out of breath. This obstacle course was exhausting and completely unnerving. Then again, being on the field in a mission was probably the same. The wooden 50 pound log came from the other side this time, but Hiru wasn't fooled by this variation. Again, his body twitched in the right way and got him completely clear from the object's trajectory.
DC = 5 = hit Hp: 15 - 1 = 14
Maybe it was excitement, maybe it was carelessness, but somewhere along the line Hiru had lost count of how many logs he had dodged and was convinced he was done. He turned around and yelled "Uzuki !! Did you see tha - . Before he could even finish his sentence, the tenth and final log came down and hit him right in the back, propelling face down on the floor. Hiru got back up and walked back towards his partner, aching and a bit embarassed.

Hiru walked back to see if Uzuki had finally found a piece of rope for his exercise. Seeing him still roaming the huge training room, still searching for something, he guessed the answer must have been know.
Still he found this room incredibly exciting, there were so many training possibilities in here. As he gazed around, a specific set of training equipment got his attention. There were five targets placed side by side and a couple of academy shurikens still planted in them.
"This would be so freakin cool..." Hiru thought.
"Hey Uzuki, I'll be right here when you're ready!", Hiru yelled from across the room.

Hiru walked up to the targets and pulled out the planted shurikens. He walked all the way back to the line and examined them attentively.
Shuriken training, complement to Cassie-sensei's class Each student has 10 shurikens and is placed in front of a target board. There will be 3 rings around the bullseye. 0-5 = Ring 1 (+0Exp) 6-10 = Ring 2 (+1Exp) 11-15 =Ring 3 (+2Exp) 16-20 = Bullseye (+5Exp) Formula: 1d20 + Attack Ranged Bonus Train: Use all 10 shurikens up. Experience: Add your total by what you threw. Points: +1 Shuriken if experience total is 35 or below. +2 Shuriken if experience is 36 or above. Put in each post: Training Experience: (Keep adding what you hit together for your experience score.) Shurikens: (The remainder you have left.)
DC = 12 + 2 = 14 : Ring 3 Training experience: 2 Shurikens: 9
Hiru took his first swing at shuriken throwing. He took a moment to get into a good, optimal position. Feet at shoulder width, body at a 45 degree angle. Then he pulled his hand back, to get more momentum for his throw, and hurled it forward. The shuriken didn't roatate that much in the air, meaning it could have been better, but it still landed in the third ring! Hiru jumped and shouted: "YES!".
DC = 10 + 2 = 12 : Ring 3 Training experience: 4 Shurikens: 8
When Hiru landed from his celebration, it took him a second or two to get his spirits back together. He got back into position, it worked well last time, and focused for a few seconds. He then suddenly threw the shuriken at the target, focusing on his wrist movement to get more spin into it. It worked well actually; but the motion had the effect of lowering his throw a bit. Still a third ring, but it was a tad lower than his last one.
DC = 2 + 2 = 4 : Miss Training experience: 4 Shurikens: 7
The fact that his second throw landed farther away from the bullseye frustrated Hiru a bit. He grabbed another shuriken and tossed it a bit too quickly at the target. The shuriken barely got any rotation in the air and flew right by the target, falling a bit farther against the wall of the training room. "Shoot...", Hiru whispered in frustration. He'd have to remember to get that later, someone could get hurt falling on this.
DC = 9 + 2 = 11 : Ring 3 Training experience: 6 Shurikens: 6
Hiru wasn't very bright but he still realized what had gone wrong. An activity that requires focus and concentration will always fail if done hastily in frustration. This time, Hiru cleared his head, kept his eyes on the middle ring, moved his hand without ever looking away from the target and released the shuriken at the last second. It got a pretty good spin but hit the third ring again. Not bad... but not good enough for Hiru.
DC = 18 + 2 = 20 : Bullseye ! Training experience: 11 Shurikens: 5
Hiru wasn't a perfectionnist per se, but he still would have liked to hit that darn bullseye once in five throws. Still, he didn't let that affect his performance. He took his throws one at a time. He got back into position, moved his fingers to get a better grip over the shuriken and sent it spinning. The metal star cut through the air whistling and landed right at the center of the target.
"YYEEESSS! Did you see that Uzuki? Did you see that?", Hiru yelled at his partner.

DC = 13 + 2 = 15 : Ring 3 Training experience: 13 Shurikens: 4
Hiru was overjoyed by his bullseye, finally he had put one in the paying area. He still had a few shurikens left so he wanted to do as well with the others. Hiru threw his sixth shuriken towards the target. Everything seemed perfect at first, the projectile was heading straight for the middle ring; but, it slowly strayed from target and landed on the very edge of the third ring, just short of the bullseye.
DC = 5 + 2 = 7 : Ring 1 Training experience: 14 Shurikens: 3
"Ah crud...", hiru said. He wasn't really dissapointed by this throw, it was a really good one that would definately have hit its target, but still, it was a bit frustrating to come so close. "One throw at a time.", Hiru told himself, getting his head back in the game. Hiru set his feet once more, got a good solid grip on the shuriken and threw it at the target. At the last second, his hand that had gotten a bit moist let the shuriken slip just enough so that it land on the first ring, very close to a complete catastrophe.
DC = 14 + 2 = 16 : Bullseye Training experience: 18 Shurikens: 2
Ok, Hiru really had to get his focus back. Such a horrible throw was an accident and he could definately do better on his next one. He set back his feet and placed his shoulders in the right angle. This time, he took a moment to dry his hands on his vest before grabbing another shuriken. He focused a while and then threw it.... right in the very middle of the target. Hiru lept again, screaming "BULLSEYE!".
DC = 20 + 2 = 22 : Bullseye Training experience: 23 Shurikens: 1
Hiru was pumped full of confidence. That was his second bullseye and it was the first time he ever layed hands on a shuriken. He couldn't wait to tell Cassie-sensei about this! Still, he had two shurikens left, and he knew he could put them right in the middle. He did the exact same thing this time that he did the last. Except this time he focused a lot more and threw right in the middle. "Nice !", Hiru whispered with a big smile on his face.
DC = 20 + 2 = 22 : Bullseye Training experience: 28 Shurikens: 0
This one was his last throw so it had to be a great one. Hiru focused so itensely on the target he could probably have drilled a hole through it ony with his eyes. He dried his hands, set his foot perfectly, his shoulders in just the right angle and got the best grip he could on the metal object. He trough it so fast it's trajectory stayed a perfectly straight line from his release to the dead center of the target. The shuriken landed deep inside the bullseye and the whole target nearly fell backwards on impact.
"ALRIGHT!" Hiru yelled. He then broke out in a strange celebration dance in front of Uzuki.

Midori listened to Kiketsu's question and ignored it. She went for another attempt at molding chakra and it worked. She smiled and looked at the wall behind her to see if there were any dents. There was none which was good and Midori's frown soon faded into a smile. Midori looked over to the other students who were all exceeding the standards. She had a bad feeling Kiketsu was starting to hate her after last night. He deserved it for asking thousands of questions. That and showing off.
