Eulalia Danae Erica nodded, conceding to his points, but still held a slight scowl on her face. "I may understand, but that does not mean I'm happy about it." "Then tell me, love, what would you have me do? Ayx no longer serves me. He might be serving Ora, or, even worse, the force controlling her!"

"Then tell me, love, what would you have me do? Ayx no longer serves me. He might be serving Ora, or, even worse, the force controlling her!" Erica let out a small sigh. "I'm not upset at you, love, it was probably the wisest decision....I'm just unsettled."

Skye rested her back against the elevator lightly, being in that tiny little space was infinitely better than being near the hordes of people in the fun room or hanging around the dorms. Despite the fact that she'd joined the Resistance she didn't like being near a lot of them, or hanging around in the building. However it was far safer in there than it was out in the streets, she'd learnt that one the hard way. But the Resistance did have one thing going for it, her elder sister was there, which made the Resistance Skye's favourite out of everything. She felt the elevator jerk into motion as someone pressed the button to summon it. It was turning into a game, waiting around in the elevator to see who would come in next...

Minerva pushed the elevator button a few more times, even though it wouldn't make it go faster, it was somewhat of a stress relief. She was sometimes impulsive that way. Her old training officer would have yelled at her over it, but she didn't really care. At some point you stopped caring about those kind of things after you've found out you only have a few weeks left to live.
As the door opened, she walked in, giving a nod to Skye in the corner. Minerva didn't recognize the girl, but the base was filled with strange people these days. Min's blond hair was tied up in a pony tail and smashed beneath a worn cap. Keeping appearances was one of those things people stopped caring about.
She pushed the elevator button to go to the rec room. She was in the mood for some running, swimming, and a general work out.
As the elevator doors closed she finally said, "hi" to the other occupant. Minerva wasn't one for small talk, but she had been making an effort to be nicer these days.

[[Hurray for good posters, I love this Guild. ^_^]]
"Hi back," Skye said with what seemed to be genuine enthusiasm. Her almond shaped light hazel eyes were completely unreadable and therefore didn't lend any clues to what she was really thinking or feeling. Unlike Minerva Skye seemed to take a bit of pride in her hair, it was a soft gingery-brown that hung down to her chin and got in her eyes. But it looked silky smooth and seemed to give off the faintest smell of strawberries. There were benefits to having spent so long away from the war, such as cheap deals on things like shampoo and the like from those who could and would still sell it. However Skye envied Minerva, she wanted to have the same self confidence that Minerva exuded, not to mention the presence that Minerva gave off. Truthfully Skye saw Minerva as a person very much like her sister.

((Bah, was a good post, no worries.))
"What floor you heading for?" Minerva asked. She didn't bother turning around to face the girl. She had gotten her first look, and as unfair is it may sound, that was usually all she ever needed. "Or are you hiding in here from all the crowds?" Min wouldn't blame her if she was, the crowds of refugees out in the upper levels was rather stifling. And when she got stifled she started blowing things up, which was probably not good for the base.
Her thoughts drifted momentarily to the last explosion she had made. When the general found what had happened to his jeep, he would not be happy, he would not be happy at all. It made her smile.

Drake flies up on the entrance to the AA Base, spotting Erica, Xeen, and Ruby's kid Aaron close to the entrance and lands up closely, but stays quiet. Looking at Erica a moment but having no idea how to explain to a close friend and mother why her daughter's body wasnt with him like he promised.

"I'm not headed for any floor actually," Skye replied, "and you're right, I'm more or less avoiding the crowds. I can handle 3 to 4 people at once, but any more than that and I can't hear myself think." She shifted slightly as the elevator jerked to a stop at one floor, then kept going. She'd noticed that once every 5 or so minutes it did that, for apparently no reason. A bug in the system perhaps...she thought blankly. At least they have working elevators, I hate having to climb up and down the shafts when the damn things get stuck or break. Technically she'd only had to do both actions once, but once had been more than enough.
[[Thanks.]]

Outside, Marcos was slowly walking toward the entrance of AA Base, he carried a young blond haired girl in his arms. He was exhausted and beaten up, but continued to walk toward the base. "It's close."He muttered. He sat down a minute trying to regain a little more energy. "Great.... I shouldn't have sat down. Now my bodies to tired to let me up." Marcos looked toward the Base, It was so close. He took in a deep breath and slowly stood up, almost falling when doing so . He looked down at the girl in his arms."At least your somewhere else now." He smiled at her and started his steady walk to the door.

"I wonder if Amanda had any relatives."He said examining the door. A Group people of nearby caught his eye. "Excuse me...... would any of you by chance be able to help me out. All the sudden his legs gave out and he fell on his back. "Damn!" he still held on to Amanda, she seemed alright. Marcos sighed. "can someone please help me? I've fallen and I can't get up." he looked at Amanda once more. "It may help some if shes taken off my chest. It's just little hard to breathe."

Erica moved to help Marcos, ignoring Drake as she didn't want to face the absense of her daughter just yet. Within moments people from the AA base finally came outside to answer the call of request, even if it was Xeen and other AoS folks, because I said so. Marcos and Amanda were both taken to the medical center to be treated for their wounds, or in Amanda's case, to be placed somewhere safe until she revived. Erica took Aaron inside, watching over him like any mother, and carefully avoiding the question when Aaron asked where Ruby was.

((welcome))
"So basically hiding away in a moving closet hmm?" Minerva chuckled, "What's your name, kid?" She liked the girl's blunt honesty, it amused her. She wondered absently how the girl could handle a gun. Min glanced back again. Minerva's face was strong boned, but in a pretty way. She never bothered with make-up, but she had decent enough coloring to make up [ rofl ] for it. As the elevator jerked a second time, Minerva paused, a line of blood slowly ran down from her nose. Her face paled, and she fell back against the elevator wall, fighting to keep from passing out.

Marcos slowly sat up in a bed. His vision was slightly blurred, so he couldn't see anything around him. He yawned "Where am I?... Wait....Wheres my pistol?" He pauses and rubbs his head. " That's right... The base." He thought back to when he had showed up. "I wander if Amanda's alright." ((Thanks I think I'll like it here))
