Jolly hats were given to everyone for Gaia's first Christmas, and that's the only time they've been available. Naturally that makes them a bit rare.
My jolly hat was my first Holiday item from Gaia. The Jolly Slippers were available if you got a gift that costed over 500g wrapped and donated it to Rina's charity drive.

Speaking of Jolly Hats, I hoarded like 50 of them on Risky when they were 1-2k. So if anyone would like to borrow a hat for the holiday season, send me a PM. :3

Jolly hats were available in the stores for a while I believe... I have one, and I totally wasn't around for Gaia's first Christmas. xp

I don't think they were ever in stores, but they were dirt cheap until er...just now.

The Jolly Coat, Jolly Boots, and Jolly pants ARE available in the stores. But the Jolly hat was only given away to everyone who logged in on Gaia during Christmas. Can you imagine the stink Gaians would have raised if a freebie given to them was suddenly in the stores?
Think of the stink they raised when that very thing happened to the heart shaped box of candy.

When people PM complaints they have to check a box asking what the issue is regarding, such as "candy box." And everyone with the box checked gets a reply insantly. "Chill."

Interestingly enough, I know a guy who was banned for botting a few months ago who had a massive hoard of Jolly Hats, so that sure as hell isn't helping the price.
More on topic though, I'd love to hear any suggestions for some civilian type outfits for me. Nothing really Gaia wacky with tons of donation items hanging off it. Shades are pretty much mandatory for me though.
