"Then..." Chrono said, taking a step away from Rosette, "I thank you for your help, whatever it may be."
He extended his hand to them, an odd gesture for their kind, and even one for a demon to make. Then again, Chrono was not a typical demon.
"Chrono..."
"I take full responsibility for them." Chrono interrupted, "They may be able to help us get the others back. A fairy is a valuable ally to have, and a centaur and his tribe is nothing less of astounding to have as well."

Cleadies stepped up slwoly, taking Chrono's hand in his, careful not to squeeze too hard. Eida merely fluttered down and touched a finger, handshakes didn't work well for her. Cleadies then backed away and turned, beginning to head for their destination.
"We are glad to help." Eida said with a small smile towards Rosette and Chrono, then looked to Loque who was carrying Blaise. "Please, you should let Cleadies take her so you won't have to hold her in your weary state."
Loque shook his head. "I'll be fine as long as she's asleep."
"Alright. Follow us."

"Well, if I have no say in where we're going, can you guys at least tell us where we're going?"Rosette asked testily.
"Must you b so rude?" Satella asked, walking beside her, "Ve could use zhe 'elp."
"Yeah, but when we find them strung up and torn open, don't say I didn't warn you. They'd probably eat that little fairy..."
"I understand but.... "Satella said with the slightest hint of a smile,"I think I may know how zhey can 'elp us find zhe others."

Eida wasn't feeling too appreciative of Rosette's . . . less-than-pleased-with-the-situation attitude, but she supposed she might act the same if she were in the girl's shoes.
"Nearly there." Eida said encouragingly, "It's just ahead."
As they walked Booker noticed that the trees became taller and less and less of the clouded light could be seen through the trees. The atmosphere seemed to glow a slight whiteish-green. Fairy magic . . . he thought to himself. The growth here was much more dense than where they had been, vines hanging everywhere, crawling up trees and large boulders. Soon they had come to what seemed like another boulder covered in vines, but Cleadies pulled it back to reveal the large mouth of a cave. Loque could see why they lived this far into the forest. It was very quiet, secret, and hidden.
"Here we are." Eida said happily, "It's not much, but we call it home. Here, let me get some light in there."
Eida went in and after a few short moments a warm yellow glow peeked through the vines. Booker could see the inside of the cave through the large space of vines the cenataur had pulled back. The ceiling of the cavern was high and the depth of it wasn't too far or to near making the area seem comfortable. There were several spaces cut into the rock walls where a glowing orb of yellow light sat, where Eida had brought the lighting from.
Near one of the far walls there was a large table, the height of a counter for them because they were only humans, but it was just right for the size of a cenataur. There were no chairs as they were not needed and a small sleeping area. Shelves lined the walls with various articles, books even. Cleadies seemed to be a craftsman because many of the articles were made from wood.
Overall it was a quaint living space. Booker stepped in first and looked for everyone else to follow.
"Sorry for the mess." Eida said as she kicked a few wood shavings along the ground. "Cleadies was working today. He's a carpenter, and quite good. The use of his created utilities makes life just so much easier for the rest of the clan. We don't know what we'd do without him."
Cleadies gave the fairy a small grateful smile and waited for everyone to come in.

Rosette was happy with the fact that everyone was blindly trusting these new people. If they were some kind of threat in disguise, Rosette was resolved to kick their butts even as ghost if it came to that. SHe disliked even more that the little fairy would not give her a more exact location than 'close'.
None the less, she was grateful to find a place to sleep for the night.
"...Thank you... for the place to hide. I'm going to bed." Rosette told them.
"Would you like some water or something Rosette?"Chrono offered, "None of us have had a thing to eat or drink all day, I know you must be starving."
"No... I don't want... anything now..."Rosette said slowly as she looked around for a spot to sleep.
"Does it matter where I lay for now?" She directed to Cleadies.

Eida looked to Rosette and sighed seeing that she still didn't trust them. But there wouldn't be any way they could change that so they could only try and deal with it for now.
"You may sleep anywhere." Cleadies answered shyly, then took up the opportunity to offer the rest of the group something to eat as Chrono had mentioned they hadn't had much to eat all day. "I can prepare you all something, it won't take long. A quick hunt and I'll be back."
The cenataur turned and left, parting then dropping the vines as he stepped out. Eida looked after him affectionately.
"You'll have to excuse him, he's not a very social person, but he's nice." she said, "Now is there anything I can get any of you? Something to drink? Blankets?"
"We'll be fine with what blankets we have." Loque answered after carefully lowering Blaise to the ground and taking their sachel of supplies and taking out the blankets. It was warm in the cave but they would be more for comfort than warmth.

Rosette was already curled up on her side before Cleadies left. When Chrono went to offer her a blanket, he found she was already fast asleep.
"She must be more tired than I thought..."Chrono, thinking bitterly of how his power must have had something to do with this. He spread the blanket over her before getting one for himself. He'd only just sat down to rest beside her when Rosette unconciously grabbed his wrist with both hands.
"I vould like some vater if you could spare some." Satell asked Eida politely, "I am rather parched, and I vould like to talk vith you a bit."

"Alright, I'll get you some." Eida smiled. Flying to one of the shelves she looked at a collection of wooden cups, bowls, and plates there. Some were very small, tiny enough fo her, others were quite large for Cleadies, and then there were a few other various sizes. One could say they were well prepared for visitors of any race.
Touching a human-sized cup it levitatedc and followed her as she left. She went to the back of the cavern where a small creek of clear water flowed. It could clearly be seen that this creek had been created. It was somewhat deep with pebbles sitting at the bottom to filter silt out. The creek came from a very small tunnel cut out of the wall then lead a distance to a fresh-water waterfall. This system was used by the entire clan, little creeks leading to each of their homes, the waterways well protected in order to keep dirt or leaves from dirtying it.
Lowering the cup down it filled and she brought it to Satella. "Now, what is it you wish to speak to me about?"

"Vell..." Satella began, looking at the cup with apparent interest, "You say you are in hiding? I vasn't avare of this particular situation vith fairies. Zhe last I heard zhey vere florishing quite well. I am... admittedly, surprised."
-----
Miles away, porbably hundreds of miles away from her friends...
Azmaria's eyes opened.
In her groggily, sluggish state, her mind had yet to register what had happened to her the last time she was concious. The first thing her mind did register was that there was soemone sitting beside her in a chair, the gentle clicking of knitting needles was the only sound in the room, other than the deep, slow breathing of someone else she could not see.
Fiore took immediate notice of Azmria's bleary stare, and stopped knitting. She looked calm, alert, and not at all tense. Like a grandmother waiting patiently for her grandchild to wake up from a long nap.
"Good morning." Fiore said, gathering up her basket of things she had been mending. Mostly the knees of a pair of pants that belonged to comeone else here.
" 'Mornin'..." Azmaria said, her eyes nearly closing again. She was wondering why she'd woken up at all, this bed was so big and cozy, she'd never slept on ANYTHING so lovely before. Like her own personal cloud.
"I will prepare your breakfast."
"Ok..." Azmaria replied, nestling back into the blankets again before Fiore went to the door. No sooner was the door locked behind the woman did Azmaria bolt upright in bed, wide awake, alert, and terrified.
"NO, WAIT!" She thought avidly, Where am I? What's going?"
Azmaria threw the blanket off herself and rushed out of bed. She took no notice of the new lacey nightgown she was wearing, nor the fact that Kaden was fast asleep in the bed in the other corner of the room.
Azmaria threw the door open, it was heavy, and she expected it to lead into a large corridor or something.
Not into the clear blue sky.
Azmaria let out a shreik as she felt her toes clench the edge of the narrow walk way, just when she thought she was going to plunge head first of the side, (And seemed to have forgotten the fact she had wings) someone wrapped their arms around her shoulders and tugged her back onto the edge.
At first she thought it was that woman, Fiore from before, but her rescuer was actually a new face. It was another woman with short, dark hair, but this girl's hair was very messy and actually had a pair of pointed ears protruding from amiss the messy locks. She wore wide glasses in fornt of her eyes, and gave Azmaria a warm smile as she winked at her.
"Be careful now." She said in a sweet, sing-song voice. The tips of her sharp teeth just barely poked past her lips, "If you fall, you'll go SPLAT and end up flat as a egg yoke!"
Azmaria returned the comment with nervous laughter. The woman seemed a bit odd, just standing there with her arms wrapped safely around Azmaria and her chin resting on the girl's head. She seemed to be humming to herself.
"Ah... I'm alright. You can let go of me now." Azmaria said akwardly.
"Don't worry about it." Shader replied happily. Suddenly, her grip on her tightened and Azmraia found herself lifted off the ground and behinf hugged like a large child's toy.
I just wnna give you a big hug!"
"Gyagh!" Azmaria yelled, waving her arms to get free.
"You never change, do you Shader?" Asked an eeriely familiar voice. But Azmaria was too concerned with not being sent flying off the edge at the moment to pay much attention to Jacob, or rather Joshua, "You did the same thing to me."

Eida sighed and nodded solemnly. "Yes . . . our kind are slowly, but surely, beginning to disappear in the world. I'm not sure where or why you might have heard otherwise. It's all very terrible, but we are determined to bring ourselved out of endangerment. I suppose people might say that we are not in any danger but only because they wish it and want to believe it to be true. I'm not quite sure what others' attraction to our race is but rarely have we ever been treated unkindly."
----
Kaden could faintly hear voices near him, waking him up. He felt as if his mind was just beginning to turn on after a century of no use. Barely any of his thoughts were registering and most of them were too slow to go full circle. He faintly recalled the memory of a building . . . there were people there with him. What was happening? Something was wrong . . . There was something . . . Blaise!
Kaden opened his eyes slowly and let only them move for a moment, taking in his surroundings. Where was he? He could still hear the voices but none were recognizable in his dazed state. Gently pushing himself up out of the bed he walked to the door, reaching for it to open it.

"No, no, you misunderstand. I 'ave met several very large colonies of fairies. They were very 'elpful in finding a few of my friends. You must be one of the smaller clans that 'ave not found zhem yet." Satella said calmly, "You should be 'appy, you 'ave a place to go and belong. 'Owever, I'd like to also know why you 'ave choosen to say in zhe company of zhese centaurs?"
----
"I can't help it! All of the Apostles are so young and CUTE!" Shader exclaimed, wrapping one of her arms around Jacob's neck as well.
"Oh!" Shader paused and looked down at Az brightly. Her ears flicked back a bit and she smiled.
"By the way, I'm the Sinner Shader, you can call me professor for short! It's nice to meet ya!"
"For short...?" Azmaria wondered oddly. Shader had turned her head to tease Jacob a bit when Azmaria noticed something odd on the sides of her head. Actually, a lack of, horns. Shader had no horns at all.
"I'm sorry to disturb your fun." Came a bitter voice behind them. Shader jerked a bit an soundly clearly like a cat when she jumped at Fiore's voice, " But breakfast is ready."
Fiore didn't like people hanging on her Jacob.
"Sorry, Fiore, are you mad?"
"No, not at all..." Fiore lied asfter Shader had released all of them. Azmaria stood dumbly in the background, utterly confused. These two... they squabbled like sisters, it was too... normal...

Eida looked to her in confusion. "Other colonies? Hmm . . . odd that we've never heard. I must ask my father about it another time. And as for the cenataurs . . . we've developed a supporting relationship for eachother. They protect us and we lend our prowess to help them with some of their needs. We've been able to advance their society and make it what humans might call civilized in their opinion. Cenatauri are not barbarian as many have been mislead, it's just that their technology has developed more slowly because of their inconveniant size and whatnot. Many think it strange for us to live in this symbiotic relationship but we do not know otherwise and are quite comfortable with eachother."

"Hmmm... I vill 'ave to show you to zhem some time. I think you vill like it. But I do 'ave amother question. I must ask that you and some other loan me your power... You may be able to 'elp us find our friends zhat were kidnapped."
Satella glanced down at her jewel. Its light was much better than before, when the mark Von had left on her was at its strongest. Whether Aion meant to or not, he'd taken some of it away when he'd grabbed her and forced a kiss on her. Damn him for doing such a think, but he had helped in removing part of that acursed mark.

"Another and I loan you our powers? Well I suppose it wouldn't be too much of a task, and I'd really like to help you get back your friends. What is it that you need?"
Hearing a noise Booker and Loque looked up. Cleadies was back and walking in to get a few things in order to prepare the meal they had offered. He gave the two elves a small nodd of acknowledgement then moved on. Booker went back to burning a hole in the wall with his relentless stare.
"This is the first time you've been so quiet in a long time." Loque said. "What is the matter?"
Booker shook his head slightly. "I lost them . . . I couldn't stop them from taking Kaden . . . and Azmaria."
Loque was quiet for a short moment then put a hand on his shoulder. "You care about her, don't you?"
Booker nodded silently and folded his arms across his chest.
----
Kaden opened the door and looked out who it was that was there. Azmaria. Thank goodness she was alright. Jacob . . . he really didn't want to think about it. And another woman whom he did not recognize. He kept his expression devoid of emotion despite how confused he felt.

---
But as soon as that door clicked open, Shader was grabbeing Kaden and Azmaria in another tight hug.
"I'm so lucky all the Apostles are such cute kids!" She exclaimed, "Breakfast time, breakfast time! Best not keep Fiore waiting while she's mad! And watch your step cutie, I wouldn't want you falling off here either!"
