Sephiran shook his head. "I don't know. I was in my office in Begnion, and then everything went black and I woke up here. Now, could you answer two questions? Where am I, and who are these people?"

At this, Soren could only respond with his ever-present frown. "Here, I haven't the faintest idea. The inn's burned down only minutes ago. And these people..." He turned and leaned his staff toward every person he presented and introduced. "Sothe, Haar, Lyon...although the girl is unfamiliar to me," he added toward Eirika. Then he hit the puppy in the side rather gently. "This one's been following me for a while. I haven't named it, nor do I know to whom it belongs."

"Alright," Sephiran replied. "Sothe here doesn't like me very much, does he? Anyway, what's going on?"

"I have...no intelligence on that," Soren replied rather bluntly, in an attempt to cloak his disappointment of his own lack of knowledge. As the puppy began to pull on the tail of his robes he knelt down and picked it up in his arms once more. He was careful not to drop the staff he had just bought. "But Lyon has given me an interesting tale, and I was just about to depart alongside him and his comrades."

Sephiran shook his head. "All right, that's fine. But, I guess I'd better come along, at least until we figure out what's going on. I don't have anywhere else to go anyway."

"That would not be a problem, would it Lyon?" Soren asked as he turned to the prince. It appeared that he had assumed a tone of respect now. Apparently, he regarded Lyon as his new commander, although it was difficult to discern whether or not this was temporary.
The puppy jumped up and bit his fingers.
Soren withdrew, wincing, and he hissed at the dog while pointing accusingly at the creature.
"Amnet! Amnet!" he began to yell, as though driven mad. One who knew a bit of the ancient language would've known that 'amnet' truly meant 'demon'. He stopped, seemed struck dumb with inspiration, and jabbed his finger at the dog once more. "...Amnet. I'll know you by that."
The puppy rose on its hind legs and panted.

"No, it is not alright. Lyon, SAY NO!!! Lyon!!! No, say no lyon!!!" sothe grabbed lyon by the shoulders and shook him, as if to shake some sence into him. He looked into lyon's eyes, he could tell lyon was about to except this guy as part of the group. He couldn't let that happen. "If he joins, I leave!!" sothe yelled at lyon, hoping their freindship would keep lyon from letting this guy join, and making sothe leave. ((no affence sephriam, i'm just bored of sothe liking everyone he meets....))

"Boy, I dislike violence, but would you like to be knocked upside the head?" Sephiran threatened, brandishing his staff. "If you left, where would you go? You're from Daein. You don't know this territory. And besides, you need a good healer."

Soren watched from the sidelines. Sothe was neither his closest comrade nor his commander. He felt that he, personally, owed no advice nor any communication to the thief, and so he merely observed this as Amnet scratched at the side of its head. However, he could not stop himself from wondering. Sothe was acting unusual, rather hysterical, in Sephiran's presence. But Sothe was a boy.
What else do I expect?

Lyon sighed and gently pushed Sothe's hand off of his shoulder. And gave him a serious look, " It's going to be dangerous Sothe, if you leave, something can happen to you. And do you realy think we can get by the enemys castle without another healer? It'd be suicidal, and I'm sorry but we cant pass up any help just because you're having a fit. " What Lyon said seemed cold, but it was true, and Sothe was acting like a little kid whineing over a toy.

I don't care what any of you say!! I will not get hert out there, and we already have 2 healers with us. If you think i am acting like a kid, then i will just leave you all here, and find the castle on my own, i am a theif you know!!! And i'm the best person here at sneaking around and finding things. I'm leaving. And if anyone even thinks about stopping me, I'm never coming back. Especially if you let Sephrian join the team!!! sothe started to walk out of the camp, leaving the others behind, not wanting to, but he had no choice, he didn't belong here, he belonged back in Daein and the only way to get back there would be to complete his mission. He had to go.

Lyon stared at sothe as sothe was walking away. He crossed his arms, " Sothe, you know if you go back to Daien, we'll eventually have to fight eachother, right? "
