"Hmph." Mephistohpiles said. "You know that I could just make your clothes disappear..."
"Guys?" Manta asked. He looked like he'd been crying.
"Hey, you're that little kid who used to be afraid of Faust, but now sort of looks up to him and regards him as a father figure!" Mephistophiles said.
"Faust is dead," sniffled Manta. "How can you be so...." he hicupped, almost bursting into tears. "The funeral was a few hours ago. There weren't a lot of people there.... it just seemed so wrong. But it's like the morgue wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible, so..."

"A couple of hours," Manta said in a shaky voice.
"Where's he buried?" Mephistophiles asked. He suddenly seemed to be in a very big hurry.

"there's only one cemetary around here...i know where it is, but its quite a few miles from here!"
(when they get to the cemetary, i have a plan for netsubo, so please let her deal with the dirt,kay? srry to be a bit...uhm..whats the word...well for lack of one, annoying)

((no way! It's all Netsubo's. Since I'm sort of just "going with it," if you want to add to the driving force of the story let me know and I'll totally step aside for it! smile ))
"How many miles? And where's it at?" Mephistophiles asked. He did actually seem worried.
"Netsubo's right, it's really far... Damn it, what are you going to do? Necromancy is OK when Faust does it, but if anyone raised his corpse..." Manta said, struggling to contain his tears, "Well... I'd put some hurt on them!"

(well, im gonna have netsubo's blood bane come out a bit..and she's gonna move the dirt...all mephisto has to do is get faust out of the coffin..and get them to a hospital..heh srry.,.kinda a spolier...)
*the second they landed, netsubo spotted the fresh grave. her started to lose all control. her worry tking over. she took out her blade and a scroll. when she made the cut, she didnt pay attention to the length or depth of the cut. she smeared the blood on the page and moved the dirt*

"Thanks," Mephistophiles said. "Even though that blood bane is incredibly scary, I'm glad you have it!"
"I stared at him dead all night!" Manta cried fractiously. "I don't want to see him again! Really, I don't!"
Mephistophiles ignored him. Hopping lightly into the hole, he landed on the lid and wrenched the top half open. Faust, wide-eyed, shaking, and white-haired, sat bolt upright.

"Watch your language, you crazy kraut!" Mephistophiles said, obviously surprised by Faust's onslaught. "I came back for you, didn't I? Besides, you actually look really good with white hair!"

"I would be, too!" Manta said, shoving Mephistophiles aside and hugging Faust. "Faust! I thought I wouldn't see you again! I thought you were dead!"
"Manta..." Faust said softly, returning the hug. "Dear... God.... that was the second worst three hours of my ENTIRE LIFE. I'm going to KILL you, Mephistophiles!!!"
