I'm being bombarded with queer media. Thursday and Friday, I'm attending a Gender/Queer archaeology conference, last Friday was a gay-rights themed play, I'm listening to Sirius OutQ online, and PlanetOut has a few catchy tunes in the Entertainment section that I've downloaded (I'm listening to Daniel Cartier's "Everybody Wants to Be Loved By Somebody" and Dylan Rice's "March of the Misunderstood"). The next step is joining the Gay and Lesbian Association for Students and Staff.
I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of Pepto.

I have a Faith kitten sleeping next to an Onyx kitten on my bed looking too adorable for words, a Jax cat sleeping on my coat, and a Q asleep on the computer moniter (where she always is). *Is thinking of curling up with Harold and Maude and cuddling my Faith and Onyx babies in a bit.*

Montigo Dominic my gawd... I wondered if SAIT had an organization for GBLT. I don't know about SAIT, since GLASS is at the U. ...By Pepto, I meant pink. It was the first thing that came to mind. "Richard Simmons to the left of me/Elton John to the right/Stuck in the middle with you!" The kittens are so cute! whee

Yay. I got to the second page of whiny self-martyrdom before I decided not to waste my time making my Foot Of Death twitch.
And now I bring triple chocolate cupcakes to you all. *shares t3t ch0k0lot0rzz*

Astri A Gender/Queer archaeology conference? Since archaeology is a branch of anthropology, it's strange that there hasn't been much study in terms of gender issues and identities until the past couple of decades. The Department of Archaeology's undergraduate club, known as Chacmool, annually holds a conference, the theme of which is decided by the Chacmool members. This year it happens to be "Que(e)rying Archaeology," focusing on the significance of ancient gender studies.

Who loves the chocolate?
Everyone loves the chocolate!
Yeah, that sounds pretty interesting. I've not done anything really gay in a while, other than going to gay game night and playing a game of Life.
I'm so bored...

Astri That's really interesting. I know, it's right up my avenue. Plus, I can patch up my horrible mark on the first quiz I did with some extra marks by writing up a critique on the sessions I attend. Maybe I should actually find out how to get into some gender/sexuality courses into my courses... Pell: Game of Life is the gayest game you played? Or were all the people playing gay? You haven't seen gay until someone forces you to play the "Golden Girl and the Guardians of the Gemstones" board game. Nothing says 80's queer children like a technicolour pink box and women dressed in something between Cher, Dolly Parton, and She-Ra.

I've never heard of that game. It sounds....pink.
The people playing it were all gay. It was at a gay center thing in Berkeley.
