'Cause sometimes you just feel tired,
Feel weak, and when you feel weak,
you feel like you wanna just give up

~Cadence Jaycey Sinclaire-Caine~

Cadence was hurrying down the street. The chaos inside the restaurant had spilled outside. She glanced back and saw Black pushing his way through the group of bodies and heading straight for her. She immediately broke into a run. She dashed into the street and nearly got hit, but kept running.

She ran up the street, and when she glanced back she could see Black couldn't get across the street. Bikes had just pulled up and a bunch of leather clad men jumped off bikes. One particularly dumb one had decided to engage Black. Good for her, bad for him.

Cadence smiled at two guys that were in line to a Club she was familiar with. She chatted them up and asked if she could get in line in front of them. They were liking what they were seeing of her despite the bruises. In a matter of minutes she was let into the Club.

Cadie pushed through the people to try to get to the restroom. She would have to ask someone to use their phone. One of the women would surely allow it is she said her purse was stolen.

She was about half way to the restrooms when Black entered the club. She swore under her breath and tried to hurry away before he noticed her. Someone grabbed her arm and pulled her close. She felt cold metal brush her arm then the barrel of a gun was pressed against the side of her chest.
"Hey Princess, come with me. Don't make a scene. " The man said against her ear. Cadie nodded her head.
"Put it away. I don't want trouble in here. I will go with you, without it." He pushed it against her firmer.
"Move your a** b***h." She started to walk. He had a firm grip on her upper arm. He walked toward Black who seemed to spot them. The man Cadie didn't recognize put his gun away. She noticed as he handed her off he was a Prospect.

Black roughly dragged Cadence away. She didn't bother fighting. What was the point? Angels, Kings? They were all after her and would get her eventually. Black lead her away from the club, and flagged down one of the men riding by. The guy stopped and Cadie noticed he to was a Prospect. He gave Black his bike after they exchanged a few words. Black got on and pulled Cadence toward him.
"Get on...." He instructed and Cadence did as she was instructed.
"Whore..." The Prospect sneered and Cadence ignored him because what could she really do at this point?

~Candie~

But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
And just pull that sh*t out of you and get that motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Grace Marie De La Cruz

OUTFIT

Grace was slightly stunned to hear that Orion was changing his mind about allowing Dereck to come see the baby, or come to the Creek in general. But, it did make her happy. Especially since she had been feeling so extremely lonely lately, which wasn't the best thing considering her hormones were still evening out from having the baby. It wasn't that she didn't love her brother, because she did, it was just that she knew he didn't approve of her sudden marriage to Orion, which made him hard to be around. "I appreciate that, Orion. If he was going to allow Dereck to come and see the baby, then he was probably going to allow Nate to see the baby too. When he went on to talk about Jasper and Killian, Grace frowned slightly. Things have been rocky in the club, and even she could see that, and she didn't really show her face around there. At least, not since the baseball bat incident. "Jasper is a good man. He has really helped me out a-..." She stopped talking when his phone started to ring, and immediately had a feeling that their time was going to be cut short. As he pushed off of the couch, she pressed her lips into a line, standing up herself. "Be careful." As soon as he left, Grace moved to her cell phone, making a call right to Dereck.
"Grace? Hey, what's going on? Are you alright? Thomas?"
"Yes, Dereck. I'm fine. But, there is something going on at Orion's new restaurant opening. It's bad, I don't know if he needs backup, but..can you just..."
"Why would I want to help him, Grace? He had been keeping me away from not only you, but my nephew as well."
"He's my husband, Dereck. He's Thomas's father. Please. Just, go for backup."
There was a long silence on the other end, and she could hear Dereck talking with Nate and Lucky, as well as another voice that she couldn't really make out, or recognize.
"We'll do it."
"If Orion asks why you're there, tell him I called you to go and help out...I just don't know what that other MC is capable of."
"Alright, I'm going to send someone to sit with you. I think you'll be happy about my choice."
With that, she hung up the phone and started to pace. It seemed like s**t was officially hitting the fan, and she kind of wished that someone was here to ease her worries. Though, the Angels were busy, so the next best thing would be someone from the Reapers. He didn't say he was sending Nate, which was odd.

It didn't take long before there was a knock at her door, and when she opened it, her jaw could have hit the floor. She almost had to pinch herself to see if this was really happening. "Kevin?! When did you..? Oh my God! Come inside!" Seeing Kevin was something that she had never thought would ever happen again. They dated for a while, but because he was a year older than her in school, he had left for the Marines before she even graduated, and they kind of lost touch from there.
"Grace, wow. You look amazing." He walked into the house, making sure to close and lock the door behind him. Dereck told him that s**t was going down, and he was going to be damned if anything happened to her on his watch. His eyes drifted around the house, before stopping at the end of the hall. "I was told you had a baby not too long ago, mind if I see the little guy?"
"Of course, come on." Grace waved him to follow, and follow he did, but not without watching her hips with each step she took down the hallway. When they got to Thomas's room, she slowly eased the door open, and walked over to the crib. The infant was fast asleep in his crib, with his mobile making soft music.
"He's beautiful, Gracie." Kevin moved his hand to rest on the small of her back, admiring the small, blonde haired baby. He had wanted to be the one to marry Grace, but with how his life had turned around, things just kind of were gone with the wind. She was certainly the one that got away. "Like his mommy. You look great, really." He grinned and followed her back out of the room, closing the door gently so it didn't wake Thomas.
"Oh, Kev. You are still such a charmer." She shoved his shoulder playfully and moved back to the living-room, taking a seat on the couch. Grace wasn't sure how Orion would feel about having Kevin here, but it was better than sitting here all alone. She turned to Kevin as he took a seat, and tilted her head to the side. "I didn't think MC's were your thing."
"I've been through a lot of s**t, especially with my time in the military. ******** PTSD makes it hard to hold down a regular ******** job. This puts money in my pocket, and let's me live how I wanna." He leaned back into the couch, letting his arm drape back around her shoulders. "How are ya really doing, Grace?" Out of all of the men she had ever been with, Kevin had always been the one that could read past her smiles and laughs. He knew when there was something really bothering her, and got her to talk about it, which was probably why their relationship had been practically flawless in high school.
Grace slowly felt her smile drop, and he eventually let her gaze fall to her lap. Kevin reached out and tilted her chin to look at him, his face completely stoic.
"I never would have done that to you, I hope you know that. Yeah, mistakes happen but s**t like that..." He clenched his jaw and dropped his hand from her chin, shaking his head. "He's lucky to have ya." He added, letting his hand tuck her hair behind her ear before moving to the fridge, and grabbing them each a water.

Archie grinned and followed Lena out of the pub, letting his long, muscled arms wrap around her slim waist. "Whatever ya want, doll." He grinned and ducked down, taking one hand to hold her chin between his thumb and index finger. He had not gotten to taste her kiss for a while, a lot longer than he would have liked. So, he took the initiative and pressed his lips against her own, savoring the way she smelled of flowers. If it was one thing he loved, it was when a woman smelled lovely, and boy did Lena smell good. When he broke the kiss, his hands moved to her hips, squeezing them gently before leading her to his truck. It was a black ford, nothing special. Just enough for him to get around his land, and haul s**t.
He opened the passenger side door for her, and helped her up inside, before climbing into the other side himself.

Dereck wasn't too keen on the idea of helping the Angels with the KOR, but because of what Grace said, he felt the need to do something. He needed to make up for the way that he had treated her. What he said to her. Soon after getting her call, he turned to Lyn and kissed her lips, handing her some keys. "Some s**t is going down. Stay here, and lock the door. Boys and I gotta to back up the Angels. You know where the guns are if anything happens." Dereck didn't think anything would happen, because he and his MC weren't on the KOR radar. "I'll be back." He grinned and kissed her once more before he and all of the men were out. Each taking their own bike, and heading toward Shadow Creek.

Nate and Lucky continued riding on with him toward the new restaurant opening, whil Kevin veered off to the side, heading to stay with Grace until he got the all clear. It took a few minutes, but Dereck, Lucky, and Nate all pulled up to the new restaurant, and hopped off their bikes. There were Angel's around, but Dereck didn't pay any attention. He wasn't here for them, he was here because of Grace. If anything, maybe he would get to see Orion get shot or something.

Titus cut through a lane and pulled up in front of Black. He pulled his gun immediately and pointed it directly at Black. He quickly dismounted his bike.
"Get off the bike Cadence." Cadence was visibly frightened and did not move immediately. When she made to move Black's grip on her tightened.
"Let her go Black. I don't want to shoot you."
"It's okay Titus." Cadence said in a shaky uneven voice.
"Walk away Titus, this doesn't involve you."
"Shut up Cadence. No, Black. I can't do that. You know I can't do that. You're about to kill our President's sister."
"Ryder will get over it. Once he detaches his feelings from the situation at hand."
"Last time I tell you Black..." The click let everyone present know that Titus was serious. He would in fact shoot Black. Blacked laughed and let go of Cadence's arm. He lifted his hands in mock surrender.
"Now what....?" Black asked.
"You ride away. We act like this never happened. Get out of here. Orion is already on his way. Be thankful. I just saved your life." Black revved the bike and took off. Titus kept his gun steadily aimed at Black until he was gone.

He finally put his gun away and turned to Cadence. He looked her over and flinched at the horrible bruises. She was clearly being beat up on regularly. He took his jacket off and put it over her. He had no desire to see Jasper's girl, or Orion's sister in such an indecent state. that dress just showed way too much for his liking. He also wanted to cover the horrible signs of abuse. He needed to do that in order to do what he had to do next. Hand Cadence back over to the KOR. They could not go to war with these men, here or now.

Titus got back on his bike. He was quiet and stared at the ground.
"We can't go to war with them right now..." He said finally and she nodded, then answered since he wouldn't look at her.
"I know."
"I have to take you back to keep the peace."
"I know Titus. It's okay. I just....I want you to know I am not telling them anything. I don't even have any information to tell. I never asked and Jasper never shared." Titus' head shot up and he stared at her with a frown.
"I know that. Jasper is a good guy. He would never share anything he could not share. Besides that, Orion is your brother. you two may fight but over the last year you have been here...you two have gotten close. You have always had his back, and he has had yours." Cadence gave a little not, it felt so good to hear that someone actually believed her.

Cadence closed the small gap between her and Titus. She carefully got on the bike behind him. She slipped her arms about his waist.
"I'm ready."
"Hang in there. We are going to bust you out of there." Cadence gave him a little squeeze. She wasn't sure they would be able to get her away from Ben, but she took comfort in the fact that some of them were standing by her brother even though things didn't look good for them.
"You just keep my brother, Jasper and Killian out of trouble. Jasper is able to keep himself out of trouble for the most part, the other two..."
"I know." He laughed but then got serious.
"You shut your smart a** up so he stops using you as a punching bag." Titus started his bike and zipped up the street where a huge brawl was taking place. there was easily 3 Kings for every Angel present. the brawl had spilled out into the street. Traffic was at a stand still as the men all fought.

Once Dereck and the Reapers rounded the corner, the brawl came into view. He looked between Nate and Lucky, and nodded to them. He had told Grace he would help, and that's what he planned to do. After a moment Dereck and the others made they way into the brawl. They wasted no time throwing punches, hell, Nate even managed to cut open a few of the men. If it turned to a gunfight, then Nate would certainly prosper. He was practically a born killer.
Dereck managed to knock a few out cold, but not without getting his fair share of hits to the face. It was a madhouse, and not even the sound of car's honking and people screaming deterred the bikers.

Lena Penelope Sinclaire-Caine

Lena returned the kiss happily. She was never a woman who shied away from anything she wanted. That included affection or PDA. Hell you didn't become a Mother at 16 by being shy with men. She pressed herself against him, and was a bit disappointed when the kiss was over. She knew it had to end though, so she followed him to his truck.

She thought it was sweet of him to help her up. Given she was a small person she often needed a bit of help when it came to taller vehicles. She buckled her seat belt and her head shot up as she heard several bikes roar by. Headed straight for Shadow Creek.
"Oh dear...something is up with the boys it seems...." She shook her head.
"Some boy Elena raised...then again...it's Elena. It's amazing the boy has a conscious."

~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

Orion was locked in battle with Ben. The two were really a mess. Bloodied, and beat but neither man would back off. Ben was the bigger of the men, but that didn't mean s**t to Orion. He had grown up fighting, boxing specifically. It was actually how he met Black all those years ago.

Cadence and Titus had just pulled up and gotten off the bike. Titus wasted no time in jumping right into the street brawl. Cadence was trying to carefully make her way through the fight. She picked up a fallen bat in case someone turned on her.

She could see Ben and her brother going at it. She saw another guy come up and punch her brother in the kidney. Ben moved in as did the other man. Cadence was seeing red, she had no idea how she made it through the bodies to get to her brother. She hit the guy who had jumped in. THWACK! She hit the guy hard as she could with the bat in the back.
The guy rounded and she then swung again. Connecting with his face. The guy went down and Orion stood there stunned. He had no idea where Cadence had been, and had not expected her to jump into a fight of a bunch of grown men.

Then again it was his sister. The fact that she hadn't been at the fight to start with is what really should have surprised him. Ben grabbed her by the bad arm and dragged her away. Orion couldn't even act because already another guy was rounding on him.

The fight started to die down. It seemed word got around that Ben had taken his leave. He had caused enough trouble for one night. He was satisfied for the moment. He would surely come out to start crap with the Angels again soon.

Dereck, Nate, and Lucky were a bloodied mess, but once the KOR started to retreat and the fight died down, he looked through the crowd. There were a few lifeless bodies on the ground, but for the most part the majority of the men had made it out. Nate was wiping his knife on his pants when Dereck caught sight of Orion, and from the corner of his eye he saw Ben and Cadence taking off. It was too late to stop them, not that he would have tried, anyway. Dereck pulled out a cigarette and lit it, before offering one to each of his men. He needed to speak with Orion himself. Needed to know that Grace was going to be out of all of this. When he approached the man, he leaned back against the wall, taking a long drag of his cigarette.
"What s**t did you get yourself in to?" He started, letting his blue eyes roam over the blood stained asphalt. It was certainly the action that he needed, because he was feeling better than ever, despite the blood and injuries he sustained.
"While you were here doing this, I made sure to send one of my men to watch over my sister. She had better not get hurt from this, that's all I'm going to say. Because if she does, the KOR won't be your only problem."
His gaze was stoic, locked on Orion. Dereck knew that he had his fair share of s**t, but things were going great with the Reapers.

Grace was frozen for a second. Here she was, sitting with a man who would kill to have her, when Orion had been absent for so long. It almost made her sad to think about it, about the difference between the two. She held Kevin's gaze for a long while, before standing from the couch, and pushing her blonde hair over her shoulders. "That's sweet of you, Kevin." She had never really gotten closure with Kevin. They were together and in love one minute, and then the next he was gone, shipped off with the Marines.
Kevin stood up as well, and wasted no time wrapping one of his large arms around her waist, while using his other hand to trace his fingertips along her jawline. "I mean it. You're too beautiful to look so...sad. I can see past your front, Grace. I know you." He pressed his forehead against her own, inhaling her familiar vanilla scent. What happened next was almost like reflex, and he leaned in, pressing his lips against hers. It was a sensation that he had surely missed.
Grace was stunned for a few seconds, and then placed her hands on his shoulders, taking a step back. If there was one thing that Grace was, it was loyal. She would never cheat, or do anything close to it. "I'm married, Kev." She ran her tongue over her lips and took a deep breath, and then moved toward the kitchen. Now she had a bunch of nervous energy.
Kevin followed behind her, rubbing at his beard. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. I just- I can't stand seeing you like this. I loved ya, and I still do." He leaned against the counter next to Grace, letting his hands rest on the edge of the counter.
Grace moved the cookies she had baked to a cookie jar, and started putting the dirty dishes in the sink, rinsing them. She hung her head as he spoke to her, and breathed out a sigh She wasn't even sure what to say to that. But, Thomas started to cry before she could think of anything. "I got him." Kevin moved to the back bedroom, and then came out holding the small infant in his large arms, rocking and swaying him gently.

Orion and Titus were talking. Orion was shaking his head. His stomach tying itself in knots the more he heard.
"She looks like one giant bruise! You have to get her the ******** out of there! He will kill her."
"I know Titus!" Orion roared angrily. He didn't need Titus telling him how bad Cadence was doing. Dereck's voice cut the conversation short.
"Oh Jesus! GREAT! This ******** guy!" Orion motioned to Dereck and huffed.
"How about, Grace creates plenty of her own ******** drama for me to clean up. In fact....this...." He waved around to the remnants of the brawl.
"This is all the aftermath of a poor decisions on both Grace and and Cadence's part, that can be tied into you being a s**t ******** brother and me being a shitty husband. So shut the ******** up!" Titus sighed and Orion walked away.
Orion yelled. Titus watched Orion pacing and talking to himself.
"Friendly warning....don't ******** with him now. That would be like poking an injured bear. He is going to lose it. That guy threatened Thomas, Grace and is beating the crap out of his sister. He doesn't need you threats right now. He is already beating himself up worst then you could." Titus walked away to talk to Kong.
"I'm going after him. ******** it!" Orion said and started toward his car. Titus hurried after Orion.
"You can't go alone!" He called out.
"I got this!" Orion called back.
"No! No you don't got this!"

Dereck didn't give a s**t about what Orion was feeling right now. He couldn't care less, in fact. But, when he spoke about this being partially Grace's fault, Dereck's calm demeanor quickly changed. He knew about what had happened, and why Grace was sent to jail. Word got around, whether Orion liked it or not. He tossed his cigarette down, shaking his head. "No, ******** no. This has nothing to do with Grace. You know whose fault this is, yours." Dereck jutted his finger out at the Angel's president, glaring after him. "Grace has been ******** good to you! In fact, when I told her that you were a slime ball, that you would go and ******** whatever walked around with two legs...she DEFENDED you! Kicked me out of her damn house because I spoke poorly of you. But, I was ******** right. You don't deserve my sister!" He took a deep breath, and when he went to go after Orion, Nate and Lucky grabbed him, holding him back. "I don't know why she still puts up with your ******** s**t! This was all you, a*****e. She wouldn't have had to beat that woman if you didn't go around sticking your p***k inside her! In fact, she was so worried about you, you sorry sack of s**t that she sent us here to make sure you were alright!" He was screaming now, watching after Orion. When Titus yelled at him not to go alone, Dereck scoffed. "Let him get killed, one less ******** problem for my sister to deal with." With that he shoved away from Nate and Lucky, heading right for his bike.

~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

"Yup! That's right! I ******** someone else. Grace knew who I was before she got involved. She can't deal with me ******** up ONCE without losing her goddamn mind, her problem!" He had never told Grace he was a perfect person. In fact he had told her just the opposite. He was King of the ********. Besides Orion was driven right to Annalise by Grace and her stupid brother. She insisted on wanting Dereck around. Well after tonight, after he tried to be the bigger person he showed up and was his usual dickish self. Hell that was it! She would have to choose, and if she choose him fine by him. He could easily dissolve the marriage and go back to his easier life from before. One that didn't involve treaties, Reapers, Grace's dramas and tantrums. He loved her, but he could not stand Dereck.

He got on his bike. He took off, Titus followed and he could hear a third bike join them. It was Kong, and he had no clue why or where he had come but Black fell into line with the other three. They rode for what seemed like forever before they reached Ben's house. The house was dark, which meant they weren't there.
"They are at the Condo probably. Too many witnesses brotha, we can't go there." Titus said as he clapped Orion on the back.
"The hell we can't!" Black snapped.
"You want the wrong person." Titus retorted.
"I saw her leave with him."
"She rushed into that fight, and to her brother's side." Kong said.

Titus and Kong talked Orion into going home. Orion didn't want to but they talked him into it. Orion and his group of not so merry men headed home. Titus insisted they hang around. He would be the peace keeper. Orion would go to war with the Reapers over nothing in the mood he was in.
"Hello..." Kong said quietly as he spotted Grace. Kong looked terrfying. A huge man with a big bushy beard. In fact he looked like a shaved down bear really. However he was the nicest person you could hope to meet. Extremely gentle and sweet, well mannered and very thoughtful.

Grace looked up when she heard the door open, and Kevin did, too. He reached for his gun, but when she saw that it was Kong she waved her hand at Kevin. Kong wasn't going to do anything, in fact, Grace figured that Orion had sent him. She dried her hands on a dish towel and walked over to the man, giving him a smile. "Hey..." When her eyes fell on his injuries, her smile faded. He looked rough, but he wasn't dead or actively bleeding, so that was a good thing. "Is everything alright?" She felt a rush of fear go through her at the thought of him coming to bring her bad news about Orion.
Kevin stood there quietly, holding Thomas in his arms. He wasn't the least bit afraid of the man. Besides, he was here to make sure that Grace was alright. He also knew about the Reapers going to the Angels aid, which was why Kong looked like he had just walked out of a brawl.

"I quit....or...am trying to. So he sent me inside." Kong patted Grace on the shoulder.
"Don't look so terrified. The guys are all okay. They just need to smoke. Titus and Black are here too." He grew silent.
"May I get cleaned up?" He asked.
"I want to see the baby, but....I don't want him to be covered in blood or sweat." He held up his bloodied fists. They were huge fists, they looked like they were about softball sized apiece.
"Thanks for sending your Reapers to us. We were seriously outnumbered for a while, but we were holding on." He stuffed his big hands in the pockets on his hoodie.
"Don't tell Shandee about the fight please...she will just worry..."
