Hehehe.. twisted
I've been wondering, is it possible to be conscious of your consciousness. It sounds fairly simple, but then wouldn't your consciousness be conscious of your consciousness, and your conscious be conscious of your consciousness being conscious of your consciousness?.. But anyways. If you could be conscious of your consciousness, would it allow you to be conscious of more than what you were conscious of originally? Sort of like being aware of your limits, therefore superceding your limits? Could you supercede consciousness in that way, or is conciousness itself a forever-bound limiting device?
I've just been wondering that in an effort to expand my awareness. So what really are the bounds and extentions of consciousness, how much can you really be conscious of? Thoughts?
Edit: Ok since my original message wasn't too clear.. I don't mean just self-consciousness.
What I want to know is, can you become aware of your own consciousness - consciousness as in, all that you percieve, all that you think, all that you feel, all that you are. Lemme use a silly metaphor. Imagine our consciousness being a waterballoon, the balloon itself is our mind, while the water is all that is our consciousness. Our consciousness fills our mind. What I'm wondering is whether or not it would be possible to say.. Have a "balloon" big enough to encapsulate the former waterballoon and therefore you would be fully aware of what you felt, why you felt it, how long you feel it, what you think, why you're thinking, what made you think, while at the same time being able to view it from all sides and perspectives, because your mind isn't "limited to your own consciousness". That's what I wanna know, is that possible, outside of metaphorical land, can that become possible. Cause if it could, then wouldn't you be quite the superconsciousness?
A friend came up with this..I was wondering about your insight on it.

Heh, I used to travel up to NH from Maryland all the time, and we'd go through New York. So I knew how long it took to get from NY of NH.
Yes it is. It's like knowing what to do and WHY to do it. You know what your brain is doing, and after you study your consciousness, why it does it. Read Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men. It has a simple guide to thinking if you read it right.

None. I don't get beserk, I get... focused.
Wow, that's just too odd. Bigger (to a point) is better.
