Leo's eyebrows were raised, so it was true. Raki was alive and well. Now Leo was sure he was going to be left behind. He took his hand off of Asher's knee and felt like running out of the coffee shop but he didn't want to make a scene. He would much rather be anywhere but here right now.

Asher noticed Leo's discomfort and grasped his hand. "C'mon, Leo, don't tell me you're jealous already," he teased, trying to lighten the mood. If he was correct, his brother was afraid he would be abandoned, but that was silly. They grew up together, so it wouldn't make sense if Asher immediately replaced Leo like that."Well, now I should take my leave. I believe I spent enough time out as it is," Daniel said, wishing to let the brothers figure things out on their own. "I'll do my best to make sure Raki doesn't bother you for the time being." With that, he swiftly walked away.

Leo didn't respond to his brother, he was too deep in thought to really listen to much of anything, however he was relieved when Daniel left the shop. "Lets...hurry up and get something to eat..." he said quietly, feeling his way out of his chair and standing beside the table. "I want to go home." Leo said a bit dully as he waited for Asher to stand as well and lead the way to the convenience store.

Seeing as Leo was in one of those moods again, Asher gave up and just led him to the convenience store. There, he led him to the counter where the hot dogs and burritos were. "There are quite a few types here," he said as he looked at the wrappings.

What was Leo thinking?? He had his brother now! After waiting all that time for home to come out of the hospital, he was finally able to have quality time with his brother. He made a mental decision that he wasn't going to let Raki get him down. At least not until their paths crossed again. "Do they have the hot dogs with the cheese on the inside? I like those with some ketchup." He said sofly, though it was a forced question as he didn't want Asher to notice what was on Leo's mind. He tried to put Raki out of his mind for the time being. ((I'm on my phone so colors are gonna be taken off for a while. ))

Asher grabbed such a hot dog and handed it along with a pack of ketchup to his brother. "There you go," he said as he himself grabbed a bean and cheese burrito. "Want any drink with that? A soda or a slush, maybe?" He grabbed a cup for himself and filled it with cola.

Leo smiled a little. "A cherry slushy please!" He said as he listened to the sounds of people coming in and out of the store. He was glad Asher wasn't talking about Raki for the moment or about what Daniel said. For the moment it seemed as though all that mattered was the two of them.

Asher got a slushy cup to fill with Leo's choice drink before handing it to his brother. "I suppose that should be enough. Shall we go home now?" He headed to the counter and took out his wallet to pay for their convenient dinner.

Leo gladly took his food and drink as they headed out. "Are you going to be ok?" He asked as he noticed his brother was acting a little robotically though he didn't want to hear about what Daniel said. But maybe his brother needed someone to talk to.

"I should be asking you that," Asher said with a chuckle. "I'm fine. Nice and dandy, even." He was sure Leo was still preoccupied with Daniel and the story of Raki's miraculous survival, and he just wanted to let his brother think of something else.

Somehow he didn't believe his older brother but he didn't press for details since this day hadn't been ruined just yet. As soon as they got home, Leo set his food on the kitchen table, though he almost tripped over one of the chairs since he hadn't been in their house in a while. Taking off his jacket, Leo listened to his brother's heavy footsteps for the first time in what felt like forever. "You seem pretty happy to get out of that hospital. Although, I will miss the food there." he said with a small laugh.

"That was pretty good for hospital food," Asher agreed and took a seat at the table. "Kinda feels good to be home. For the time being, that is." He wondered if he should notify the landlord that they were all leaving. Considering they were to be evicted anyway...

Leo still wasn't convinced that Asher was happy to be out, or maybe what Daniel said was just weighing on his mind too much. Leo continued to eat his hot dog which seemed to have only been a few bites long since he finished it pretty fast. Leo stood from the table and reached across to place his hand on Asher's. "Don't worry so much. Pretty soon we will be able to start our new life with our new friends." he said with a hopeful smile. "Now....should we play a board game of some kind? Or maybe read something?" he asked as he made his way to the living room, stopping just short of the couch as he waited for his brother's answer.

"I don't feel like doing much," Asher said regrettably as he bit his burrito. "Today kinda took a lot out of me, you see." He wished there was more that he could say, but he couldn't stop thinking about Raki. That was really his brother... and neither of them made a good first impression at their first meeting. Couple that shock with concern over Leo's possible jealousy and he was in a bit of a bind.

Leo gave a little sigh, he was afraid of this. He came back over to the table and waited for his brother to say something but it seemed Ash was too preoccupied. "You want to talk about it?" he asked, knowing Ash would understand what he meant.
