A.R.G.U.S Mykal yo_momma117 I would rather have 4 lemun russ's than two good ones. Basilisks already had a limit of 3 so that I dont mind, although I would like it so that I could have as many as the pop allows... Yeah, but that takes all the strategy out. I'd love to have 20 Bloodthirsters, but I can't have it my way. D:
-Mykal there is a big a** difference here, a bloodthirster is a super powerful special unit that is a mass destructo machine. A leman russ is the counterpart to every other races tank...shoots big guns and kills things, rolls on treads (oh did anyone notice that in the starting movie for the campaign that the treads on the tanks are going the wrong way?) so on. A blood thirster on the other hand, flys around, slays the masses with a big axe, and kills things up close, and obviously a bloodthirster can kill quite a few leman russ's and I do believe your correct, it does take some of it out, not all of it.

For some reason my Grey Knight squads always seem to get killed off really easily on their own, but if grouped with a character they're nearly unstoppable.

A Bloodthirster is overpriced, has similar stats to a Dreadnaught, bar HP, and loses health if it does nothing. It attacks slowly and does a disapointing amount of damage.

I would think that in a video game where the lighting has no affect that it wouldnt do that Quote: Car wheel trims do that was well. It's a trick of the light, where it moves so quickly, it looks like it's going the other way.

yo_momma117 I agree on that part, uber units arent so uber, and they tend to waste time killing one guy at a time. I would think that in a video game where the lighting has no affect that it wouldnt do that 1. Yes, the Bloodthirster is shite.
2. It's to make it realistic. I bet you that there's in-game lighting. If there isn't, you wouldn't be able to see. surprised

-Mykal hehe, I ******** up the last post, got the quotes all screwed up, and spent a while tryin to fix it... nah, It would make more sense to make it go the right way in a video game, and in game lighting doesnt creat illusions in a video game, you have to program it that way. I imagine that if it was that way then the in-game sun would reflect off the waters in the maps huh?

Need for Speed Underground 1&2, Hot Persuit, and Carbon all have it. It's a small detail that doesn't take a shedload of coding to add some realism. Reflections are a whole different matter. They have to mirror codes and all that, and it's a lot of hassle. But when something moves quickly, it's how it looks. Same way that you paint shadows on models, even though they're 3D and their own shadows will form.

-Mykal yeah, you have a point. I do understand for those games, because for those systems and those types of games the graphics and detail and scenery is everything, and I wouldnt think that they would go down to those details for Dow, after all, its about killing s**t, while the others are more like flashy cars and races, and of course babes who cheer you on when you cross the finish line.

But it shows the speed of the tanks raring to battle, just like the tread prints and dust.

They're mainly there for you to get going faster. I like to equip them with heavy weapons and use them to bolster defense points.

The Veteran Librarian is worse. Even in easy mode he has 450 Hp and the regular Librarian has 4000 Hp. Sure he is an early detector and has all his powers, but he gets owned right away.

yeah, I just got the librarian, and I had to rescue him from getting killed quite a few times cause he sucks...
For some reason, when I play the Space marines, they just dont feel as good as they used to, I dont enjoy playing them much anymore after the necrons...interesting. It seems that I have traded my profficiency in them to the Imperial gaurd, as they are more manageable for me somehow...

I am still ok with the Space Marines, but they lack a good anti infantry vehicle in Tier 3 and 4. The Predator used to work well as one in the original game, but now it only gets lascannons making it a lot less useful.
