William shivered slightly, for a moment he fought to get his brain to work. "She....has typhoid fever." He quickly shut the file and walked on, keeping his game face on. "Her time is very soon, let's not be late."

"Indeed." Claude agreed.

Soon, they came to a set of double doors, a pair of Reapers were guarding the doors. They recognized Castel and opened the doors.
"Sirs, Mr.Michaelis and Mr.Faustus are here."
"Thank you Castiel that would be all."

Michal was seated a big table, the large windows behind him showed rows and rows of office buildings that was the shinigami realm. Lucifer was standing nearby his back was turned looking out. As soon as the Demons walked her turned around with a welcoming smile. "Belial, Thammuz....I'm glad you where so prompt."

William pointed to a building, "There, third floor. " With that he simply, calmly walked into said building and up the stairs like he was expected there.


Claude sat down, beside Sebastian not saying anything.

Lucifer stood by his chair, not bothering to sit down. "As we already know, You two...have caused some....disagreements. I want firstly apologize for ordering your death."

Claude said nothing.

Lucifer continued. "However, as you are Demons I am willing to accept you back within the ranks of Hell without punishment. Fearthermore, I am willing to give you both the title of 'Princes of Hell' plus 333,000 legions each as your battalion for Armageddon."

Claude frowned.

"There is a price however if you want to come back to me. I require that you lose your human hearts and resume being demons under my command."

Claude glanced at Sebastian.

One corner of Micheal's mouth twitched. He put his folded hands on the table.
"My offer, gentlemen, is not as generous as my brother's. I can not offer you a place in Heaven and I can only provide you minimal protection from demon attacks should they occur. " Here he glanced at Lucifer with a hard glare. then continued. " But what I do offer is that you will not be harassed by any of my angels with the condition that you both do not consume any human souls until Armageddon. One bite, and the deal is over, you will be handed back over to Lucifer to do as he sees see fit."

Again Claude said nothing, He glanced at Sebastian.

Michael paused for a moment. "...You will still be able to keep your hearts, we cannot take that away. If you wish, your union will be officially recognized by Angels."

Claude's eyes widened in utter surprise, he looked at Sebastian.

Lucifer smiled, He was sure that he'd won them over. The angel Michael wouldn't allow them to have the boy's soul, he knew that part of this meeting was to convince them to give up being active demons.
But, what Belial had just said, put them both in a position where they would have no choice but to come back to him. Lucifer's eyes glowed in pleasure as he smirked at his pawns. "Indeed, I knew that I could count on you Belial to find reason."

At that moment, Claude suddenly stood up from and walked out of the meeting room.

Michael raised a hand to keep Sebastian from following him. "We are not finished. Belial, or Sebastian, however you want to call yourself, I understand what your nature entails. All I ask you is to think about it, I will give you the all years until the hour of Ciel Phantomhive's natural death.
"Michael!" Lucifer interrupted. "I thought that we agreed that we'd give them our best offers, no negotiations!"
"This is not a negotiation, I am merely giving them time to consider the terms of both."
"It will be years!" Lucifer raged.
"Yes, years and years." Micheal gave Sebastian a smirk so devious that it almost made him look like his brother the devil. "I am willing to wait for an answer, are you brother?"
Lucifer seethed in anger.

Claude stood outside the meeting room, he was starring out the windows his eyes unseeing. Though he looked calm on the outside, he was shaking with fear inside. He knew that Lucifer would not go back on his word, it was a contract. But the devil was known for finding a way to punish his pawns. For all he knew, another high ranking demon would want his new position and try to assassinate him. Claude would find no help from Lucifer or anyone for that matter, He couldn't even count on Sebastian's help. They would not have their bond with out their hearts.

Micheal's smile had faded from his face, instead a stoic expression was there as he listened to the demons trying to entice him. "The soul of Ciel Phantomhive is also my concern, I value it highly but not the same way as you do. Sebastian, may I ask you a question?"

"Do you have any love for Ciel Phantomhive?" It was a simple question, but a sincere one. Micheal had unmoved by Sebastian's attempt at seduction. His skyblue eyes looked at the demon waiting for his answer.

"Then......do you not want for his happiness forever?" Micheal asked. "The day when he passed from the world, he has a chance to pass through heaven's gates where his loved ones had gone before and where one day his children and grandchildren will meet him."
The Angel lean back in his chair, closing his eyes. "There.....may also be a way for you to be with him in Heaven."

Lucifer snarled. "That's impossible! Demons do not have souls, they are spirits true. But they cannot deny what they are!"

"We have been experimenting on various subjects since the time of the Crusades." Micheal folded his hands on his lap. "Demons who had become attached to the souls they where contracted to longer then it was necessary. It wasn't until the one you know as 'Sammael' had caught our attention, that we started to give it some serious thought and effort. He was contracted to a man called Tomas Torquemanda, a man of the church. Their original contract was for Sammael to help him rise in power within the church in Spain and then the Vatican itself."
"It was a rather long contract as you can imagine, nearly 20 years before Tomas got the power and riches he wanted. But something that we didn't expect happened in that 20 years, Sammael had gained a human heart and had fallen in love with the soul he was suppose to consume. He never did, and continued living on serving that family with the same love and dedication he showed Tomas."

"The other archangel's and I where thinking that if Angels could fall into temptation and become fallen. Then why couldn't demons become angels? They are spirits, just the same as angels."
