Animated Gifs are 256 cols anyway. It doesn't seem to have killed it yet.

Paint's just crap at reducing colour depth <3

Really a nice piece! My favourite frame was the 27nd I really like the way you use the perspective...the part of the multiple beams need more work but is cool anyway! wink 8/10
WhoaA 456Kb sweatdrop

yeah >< i dunno how to make them smaller yet. How do you do yours? What I do is make a photoshop file with each frame as a single layer, then I just save them all as jpegs and load all the jpegs into an animator program

i also wanna go back in and add some more frames when hes shooting the smaller blasts

I use the "Refil" (I dunno if you have the same command on your version mine was Italian xp ) for cut all the useless space (remeber to use it showing all the layers or you may miss some images too!) then I convert it in a 40-70 colours .gif with a low desaturation...Anyway i think that is better for you to not make your avatar moving so much because more space you need more heavy the gif will be, just look in this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v122/trueshinobi/Pix/shop/edits/Fight2.gif
My avatar move a lot, and in a short space! but nobody look at it because I use a lot of frames for his moves whee

here's a few things to remember:

  • Edits won't work for you.
  • The effort you put in is relative to the results you get out.
  • Spend more time on an edit, skills don't develop overnight.
  • Try not to get frustrated with it, just keep attacking the edit, putting in as much passion as you can.

Hope that helps.

so any tips on the hair vorty?
PostPosted: Tue Mar 29, 2005 4:25 pm

look at your references more... make sure the style's the same, if possible, have a pic of lisa open along with your editing program.

Do some shading, like this:

but perhaps with a bit more subtlety than that. sweatdrop

Follow my tips above. And pay attention to what the guild members are telling you.

Remeber its hard to edit if you force it, but if you take your time, and enjoy it, its alot easier ^.^

ok, bam, my only advice to you:

go back, write down all the advice the guild members have given you on a piece of paper, then open your edit, and go through the suggestions one by one
