As Laura contemplated her dilemma, Wollowitz began to speak again. "You are an omnipresent magical being now, you don't need your own body," said Wollowitz. Laura felt a little shocked as she asked, "Are you saying that I can possess people?" A soft chuckle filled her omnipresent mind. "You can't just possess anyone. To retain your magic, you need to find a body close enough to yours to use magic." Laura sighed angrily, since where was she going to find someone like that.

An idea suddenly hit Laura. Special was her daughter and thus had a similar body. Perhaps she could possess her long enough to retrieve the rest of her magic and get her body back. Realizing that Special would not like this, Laura hoped that the girl would forgive her for taking over her body so as to get her own back. Before she could change her mind, Laura sent her magical being into Special's body.

Before Special could throw her fan a second time at Ashtara, she had a very strange feeling. It felt as though something was invading her body. As quickly as the feeling came, Special suddenly lost control of her body. Freaked out, but unable to react, Special cried out in her own mind.
"Calm down, Special," Laura said directly to Special's mind. "This will only be temporary. I merely need you help." Laura felt much weaker as she adjusted to her new body. She lost the heightened senses she had while in her magical form. She also had to adjust to someone's else body. Fortunately, she could still sense some of her magic. Now she had to retrieve the rest.
