"How about finding a nice place where Miyuki can play and maybe try walking?"
Lin suggested, since it would be nice to just relax and have some fun even if it was playing with Miyuki.

Earendil smiled. "It's a beautiful day, why not outside?" he said warmly. "Somewhere nice. There's a path on the other side of the house, your mother took me there when we went for our walk the other week. How does that sound to you? Do you know the area?"
He still didn't know much about the area, though he was certain that they would be safe, and not have to worry too much about Miyuki.

Lin nodded, she was at least somewhat familiar with most of the paths around Haven.
"I remember that path, that sounds like a great idea," she grinned at him, "This way."
She tugged his sleeve with her free hand lightly.

Earendil chuckled softly to himself as he followed Lin around the house. She was just so ... sweet. Cute, yes, but more sweet. And to be honest, beautiful crossed his mind more than cute. It was just those times when she tugged on his sleeve like that ...
He shook his head. No, he had to control his thoughts. They wouldn't lead anywhere, and they wouldn't do any good.

"How far should we go?" Lin asked Earendil looking up at him.
She still hadn't let go of his sleeve and it wasn't because she was clingy. It was just because it hadn't occurred to her to let go yet.

Earendil flushed slightly and cleared his throat, looking down the path.
"Well," he murmured, "I suppose it depends on how far you feel you can go without getting lost. Or how far you want to go. I mean, near or far really doesn't make much of a difference, does it? Either way, it's -"
He realized suddenly that he was rambling, and he cut himself off and chuckled to cover up his embarrassment.
"Anyways, it's up to you," he concluded with a smile.

Lin blinked for a moment, was something wrong? Well she mused for a moment looking where she was taking them.
"Maybe down there would be okay..." she murmured thoughtfully, "A bit of shade and a good place for Miyuki to play."

"That sounds like a plan to me," Earendil nodded agreeably. "You just lead the way."
Once she had taken them to a place where they could sit, he did just that: he sat down in the shade of a tree and motioned for Lin to sit beside or across from him, at her choice.

Sitting down beside him, Lin set Miyuki down and made herself comfortable.
Miyuki for her part didn't waste any time crawling around trying to figure out this new space. She liked the feel of grass, it was cool to roll around in.

Earendil watched Miyuki as she began to play around. She was adorable ... just adorable. She was so strong and adventurous, too ...
"You know," he murmured, tilting his head slightly sideways as he looked down at Lin, "I have a feeling she's going to grow up to be a lot like you."

Lin blinked at that, she couldn't imagine anyone being a lot like her, more often than not she was considered not sane.
"Do you really think so?" Lin smiled at that, "She's still pretty young..."
She glanced up at him, he seemed pretty content at the moment she thought.

"Strong, adventurous, brave," Earendil commented, smiling down at her. "I would say that describes you pretty well. Independent ... don't tell me you've forgotten what you were like when you were a surprise? Going everywhere and doing everything ... it's amazing your parents weren't frightened to death by you."

Lin had to laugh at that, she did remember what she was like as a child. Frankly she didn't know how her parents managed to raise her at all since Lin had her own ideas of what to do with her time.
The only reason why she could get away with it was because it was educational.
"I think they more shook their heads in exasperation," Lin murmured, "But they're use to having children that know since young ages what they want. I was just more vocal and obsessive than most."

Earendil laughed. "Well, I certainly won't deny that," he grinned. "You're the only person not a member of the royal family who was allowed to be tutored by Sir Valdemar. I can't say exactly what the reason was why you were allowed, but I think it had to do with several things ... not least of all being the fact that your parents were the ones to return my aunt home again."
He chuckled softly. "Still, I enjoyed your visits. I still do."

"Really?"
Really by now Lin should have gotten use to how unusual her education was, but it was always so strange to her because she never had to ask perse. She was simply allowed to do, it had become her second home and knew nothing else.
"Earendil...." Lin murmured deciding if she didn't ask now she would chicken out, "I have a question."
